Summary: Great, easy dinners 2009-09-02
Comment: There are so many reviews for this book, I wasn't sure what I could add that would be useful for anyone deciding to buy it except that I have tried about 29 of the recipes and only one was a dud (the Lemon Piccata Pasta Toss-Giada DeLaurentis' Lemon Piccata Chicken is SO much better and does not take any more time). I consider myself an intermediate level cook, and I can do most of these recipes in about 30 to 40 minutes. I can find all of the ingredients at my local grocery store-never a special trip to a gourmet foods market. The meals are tasty, even when they are just twists on basics-hamburgers become Sirloin Burgers with Basalmic Mayo (quite good!), and the vodka cream pasta is as good or better than what I've had in restaurants. Out of the dozens of cookbooks I own, I constantly grab this one when trying to decide what to make for dinner, and that's the highest praise I can think of. Happy eating!

Summary: It's Okay 2009-06-21
Comment: I bought this as a gift for my daughter who is a very busy career woman, mother and wife. There are a lot of ingredients that are not common in a kitchen cupboard. Although the cookbook tells you where to get the ingredients, my daughter doesn't have time to run all over town gathering them up like she is on a scavenger hunt. Thus it looses the 30 minute meal preparation to us. The recipes are okay otherwise what few she has had a chance to prepare. If you like going from shop to shop picking up ingredients this is the recipe book for you. If you want ingredients that you can get at your local grocery store, I don't recommend this book.

Summary: Good Follow up to Original recipe book 2009-02-02
Comment: Again, Rachel Ray has put together some great recipes for folks that are on the go or lacking for time. 30 minute meals are great for any household at times, and this just gives you a lot of options.

Summary: Longer than 30-Minute Meals 2008-06-07
Comment: The problem with this cookbook is that, although many of the recipes are quite good, they generally take longer than 30 minutes to prepare. Perhaps they take 30 minutes if you are a professional cook. I agree with other reviewers that the show is better. That is why I have not purchased any more of her cookbooks. That and the fact that she became a spokesperson for Dunkin Donuts. Seriously??!? She doesn't earn enough money from her shows and prolific new cookbooks? I feel like she sold out.
