Had we known about this gizmo when we put down new entryway tiles, our entryway would have a nicer, more professional-looking floor. What a terribly clever contraption this is. It will work superbly for any type of surface installation, not just ceramic tile. When applying self-stick tiles, vinyl flooring, linoleum, wood, laminate, stone, or any other material requiring precise layout, the Angle Wiz will eliminate installation nightmares. It's as simple as can be to use: the swinging head lines up with the obstacle to be cut around; just transfer the markings to your material and cut. Six grout bars varying in size from a 1/2 inch to an 1/8 inch are included. The cherry on top is a video that guides even the most dubious do-it-yourselfer through a handful of projects. You'll learn to prepare a surface, remove a toilet, mix and apply thinset, mark and cut tile, and grout and seal surfaces. Comment: I am a tile installer this tool is a great idea gone horribly wrong. It would have worked fine if it had not broken so fast.Too bad as it could have be a useful tool if it was constructed better.

Summary: It works, but low quality 2005-11-07
Comment: I am a homeowner who has tiled about 1300 square feet of floor with 16" and 18" tiles on the diagonal. This device works but the straight edges are warped and it can be difficult to get exact measurements. Additionally, with 18" tiles the tool is not quite long enough for some of the extreme measurements, i.e., when you are cutting off small piece of an 18" tile.
That said, this tool has made the job easier even with its limitations. I would buy it again, but would shop for a higher quality tool, if one exists...

Comment: This design could be alot better. For the price I expected a more robust tool. In use I used my tape measure more than I used this tool. I'll give it some more time.

Comment: Ididn't purchase this item myself, I borrowed it from a friend. I tested it out when I put down ceramic tile in my kitchen. Without going into great detail let me just say "WHAT A PIECE OF GARBAGE". THIS HAS GOT TO BE THE CHEAPEST IMITATION OF A LAYOUT TOOL THAT I HAVE EVER SEEN. Take whatever money that you would spend on this and by a good tile installation book and straight edge. If you could rate items in negative values this "tool" would take top honors.
