Summary: Don't waste your time and money 2008-08-24
Comment: Adiri Bottle Review

Leak, leak, leak, leak,... it will leak at the nipple, it will leak at the cover. I read good and bad reviews. I thought I give it a try because I liked the design. I regret trying. I bought 10 bottles. All 10 bottles leaked. I made absolutely sure it was dry and tightly covered. The bottle needs to be upside down to read how much milk is in it. When it's upside down it will leak at the nipple. When you turn it back over all the milk that leaked from the nipple will now be all over the bottle when you remove the cap. Then it will leak at the cover, which is on the bottom of the bottle. One leaked so bad it drained a whole 60 ml of milk while just sitting on my counter. If you don't mind dealing with a fussy bottle and a fussy baby at every feeding then get it. Not worth the price. Surprised it won an award. But, then it is a innovative design award. Functionally it sucks more than my baby. Remember I tried 10 bottles and they all leaked. You may be purchasing the 11th bottle if I would have replaced the ones I bought if I replaced it. But after going through 10 bottles and experiencing all 10 leaking why even bother getting replacements.

Summary: great concept, needs a LOT of work 2008-07-16
Comment: we bought these bottles about 5 months ago for our twins when on the hunt for BPA free bottles. the concept is fantastic, even down to the multiple hole in the nipple. however, this bottle is nearly impossible to fill without leaking. you must fill it upside down with the cap on, but the cap never prevented liquid from escaping. the cap extends so far down the bottle, that it is hard to come off without unscrewing the bottom, which causes more leaking. and, liquid would often come out of the bottom when the bottle was turned right side up.

again, the concpet is great, especially for babies being transitioned from breast to bottle, but it needs a LOT of work. our bottles are now chewies for the babies. quite expensive chewies if you ask me.

Summary: 5 stars before, now just 1 2008-05-19
Comment: We purchased three bottles when the baby was only 4 months old and she immediately loved them. Our daughter is 9 months old now and Adiri is the only bottle we used. They began to stain, understandably after such extensive use, so we decide to purchase two new bottles @ Babies "R" Us. Unfortunately the moment I took one out of the box I noticed that the plastic was different, much harder then the ones we previously used. That would have been ok but when we tried to feed the baby I also noticed that the milk flowed a whole lot more profusely than before which cause the baby to choke. When I squeezed the bottle over the sink i noticed there are more holes in the nipple of the new bottle than there were before, in the old ones. So we paid 24 dollars for two bottles that we don't use. Was this just a bad batch that made its way into the stores? I hope so but I can't see myself buying another one just to see if that's the case. Why change something that works? I really loved everything about these bottles and so I encouraged everyone that had a baby or was about to get one, but now ...

Summary: A life saver to nursing strike 2008-05-06
Comment: This bottle was a true life saver! My baby was on nursing strike for a week and would not take ANY bottle at 8 1/2 months until I found this one. The only complaint I have with this bottle was the leakage from the nipple when preparing for the formula. But, it helped my baby transition from exclusively breastfed to bottle so I cannot be more happy with this product.

Summary: Too short nipple 2008-05-02
Comment: Excellent concept but too short nipple. My son, 3.5 months old, was drinking out of Playtex VentAire slow-flow wide nipple bottle till we learnt about BPA. So we got the Adiri. The nipple is very soft and breast like. Even though he is being breast-fed he is unable to latch on to Adiri nipple. He tries hard but fails. Ends up swallowing a lot of air and ultimately gets irritated and starts crying. We even tried the trick they teach during lactation consultation to squeeze the breast a little so it matches contours of baby's mouth and makes latching on easier; didn't work. I think the reason is that the real breast nipple is more flexible and becomes elongated while the baby is sucking, whereas Adiri nipple stays the same length. It is soft but short. Don't think we can return this bottle, but definitely won't buy another one.
