Product Description

Long chain fatty acids, DHA (Docosahexaenoic acid) and ARA (Arachidonic acid), are important for infant development. These fats are known to concentrate in the gray matter of the baby brain and eye retina starting in the third trimester of pregnancy. Breast milk continues to provide an abundance of these fatty acids once a baby is born. If breast milk is not available, then a baby requires a dietary source of these fats, either by synthesizing them from precursor fats (linolenic/alpha linoleic fatty acids) as found in Babys Only Organic pediatric formulas; or by supplementing with Babys Only DHA & ARA Fatty Acids Supplements which are preformed DHA & ARA fatty acids. 30 Individual Pouches (.10 oz)

Summary: Easy to Use/Easily Tolerated 2007-09-17
Comment: This product is easy to mix into my daughter's milk or yogurt and doesn't seem to upset her stomach. It is a nice alternative to cod liver oil which can really upset a little one's stomach. My only complaint is that when shaking milk to mix it up, it does become quite foamy and takes a while to settle.
