Summary: Excellent Cover 2008-06-03
Comment: I purchased this nursing cover before taking a flight with one layover from North Carolina to Oregon with my three month old son, and it was worth every penny. The cover allows you to nurse with a certain degree of privacy, but still lets you see your baby, and lets air vent in and out as well. My son hates all the other nursing covers because they make him too hot and he would get fussy and refuse to eat if I had one of the other covers on. Now, he gets excited to eat if he sees me pull out the Bebe au Lait when we are out and about. It is easy to just slip on and fold away. Thanks also to the reviewers who did not like that the cover was more red than pink, because that convinced me to buy it as I was hesitant before that to buy something so pink. The colors are truly gorgeous and my son loves looking at the bright yellows and reds. I would absolutely recommend this to any breastfeeding mom.

Summary: Changed early motherhood for me 2008-05-05
Comment: I was very nervous about nursing in public (the risk of flashing strangers and the risk of being glared at, etc) so I didn't leave the house very much at first. After my first attempt with a blanket was clumsy and awkward I felt even less confident. This cover has completely changed me. I don't even give it a second though because it covers me so well and can't fall off. It's also a nice print (I got black and white). I recommend it to everyone I know who is going to be breast feeding. For me, it meant more freedom.

Summary: Great for discrete nursing in public 2008-02-19
Comment: I have been using this nursing wrap for 9 months and I love it! The only complaint I have is that the fabric is not as soft as I like. But the print is beautiful and it works really well for discrete nursing in public. I use it all the time.

Summary: Great idea but tough to use with an active baby! 2007-12-26
Comment: Bebe au Lait/Hooter Hiders are a really great idea and they probably work great for a lot of BFing moms/babies. I have a VERY active, inquisitive little boy though and it's been tough. I bought Chocolat (which is a really beautiful print...I love it!). The problem is that if I'm BFing in a sunny area, the light shines through the material...under the cover, the affect is like stained glass and it totally distracts my boy. (Kind of funny, I know!) The result is that he keeps coming off to look at the pretty colors and trying to get him to latch on again is like wrestling. Add a fabric cover to the mix and the result is total chaos. Instead of making me feel like I can BF more discreetly, I feel like I'm putting on a show. However, I'd have the same problem with a blanket, so at least this cover didn't fall off! I have had better success with the cover when it's been dark or dusky out, or when my son is in a more mellow, hungrier frame of mind, lol. Anyway, I think that like with all baby products, this cover will be a lifesaver for some, but not all.

Summary: Great coverage and pretty! 2007-12-15
Comment: Yes, it's kind of expensive for what it is, but it's so pretty and great for those who are even the slightest bit modest about breastfeeding in public. Now I feel like I'm not offending prudes or attracting weirdos, and can breastfeed with confidence!
Pros:
+ Easy to use, minimal or no adjusting really
+ Rolls compactly
+ Great coverage, even with wriggly infant (though I've only been using it for 3 mos now...)
+ Pretty!
Cons:
- Expensive
- Yes, it screams "Look at me, I'm breastfeeding!"
