Product Description
The under-the-mattress Movement Sensor Pad detects your baby?s movements and sends the signal to the Nursery Unit, which sounds an alarm ONLY if no movement is detected for 20 seconds. It also transmits all other nursery sounds and has a Movement Indicator Light showing if movement is being detected. The Parents? Units receive the alarm and all other nursery sounds.Two Parents? Units give you the flexibility of always leaving one in your bedroom while moving the second unit to the room you are in while your baby is sleeping. Additional features include a nightlight on the nursury unit, color LCD displays, out or range indicator and tempuratire feature. Both units are rechargable and include 8 channels with a range of 820 ft. Includes an under-the-mattress Sensor Pad, a Nursery Unit, a Parents Unit (sound monitor) and two AC adapters. Requires 12 AAA batteries (8 AAA batteries inlcuded).

Comment: After losing two babies and my daughter spending 5 weeks in the NICU....you'd be hard pressed to find a more paranoid mom than me. But so far..I love this monitor! We've only had it for a few days so I don't know of any cons so far, but if I do I'll log back in to re-post my review. This monitor has everything I could hope for - only thing that would make it better is, as someone else mentioned, a video camera. I'm laying on the floor typing this review as the monitor ticks, and I know my itty bitty baby is moving enough to cause it. It's very reassuring, especially if you're any kind of worrier like I am. It's very worth the money for us so far; if I still am this happy with it in another week or to I'm going to buy another one for my baby to have at daycare. Well worth it!

Comment: I set this up this weekend, I love it. The book said to leave the sensitivity at 2.5 which is what the factory preset is. It works GREAT. I took the baby out and forgot to turn it off and sure enough in 15 seconds I got the warning beep and 5 seconds later the alarm sounded. It gives me such a piece of mind.

Comment: We absolutely love this monitor. It has helped us sleep much better knowing that the monitor will notify us if our baby stops breathing. We haven't had any issues with it working or giving us false alarms. The night light is really helpful as well. We are very happy with this purchase and recommend it to all parents with babies.

Summary: breathing monitor 2008-06-28
Comment: I had a 5 mo. old who refused to sleep on his back, no matter how hard you tried. Only wanted to sleep on his stomach. Of course with the concern of SIDS, I was sleeping in the same room with him every night and constantly checking up on him, not to mention not getting very much sleep. This monitor has really helped to change all of that. I've been using it for a month and have yet to have a false alarm that wasn't caused by my own error (FYI- If using with with a pack-n-play bassinette that has a vibrating feature, make sure not to turn on the vibration or monitor will be set off). This product is great. The only way the company could make it any better is by adding a video feature to the monitor. Then it would have it all!
