This unit is thin, only 1.25 inches deep, but the 5.5" ColorFlat LCD screen will allow you to clearly view your baby. When night comes, the BebeSounds Monitor be your eyes and ears while you get a well-deserved rest! The automatic infrared night vision will clearly capture your baby as they sleep in the darkened room. The BebeSounds TV984 Flat Panel Color Video & Sound Monitor is expandable - it works with two cameras, so you can monitor two children at once. An additional camera (TV900-C) is available separately for purchase. There is also a optional scanning feature on the receiver when two cameras are used. Cameras can run on AC or battery power, batteries not included. Receiver operates on AC power, camera operates on AC or battery power (batteries not included)

Summary: Don't waste your money 2008-07-09
Comment: Don't waste your money on this product. The system worked very well for us for all of about 6 weeks. Then the video quit working - it would just flash on and off for a second or two. Now, the sound doesn't even work. The only reason I've kept it plugged in is because the light on the camera is so bright in my daughter's room, it's actually a good night light. A really expensive night light, but at least that part is still working. When that quits, this thing is bound for the trash. What a waste of money!!

Summary: go back to the drawing board... 2008-06-19
Comment: System has design flaws ranging from annoyances to those that make it unacceptable and render good solutions like directional antenna, rotating base of camera irrelevant.
1) bright blue LEDs on camera base have to be taped not to disturb baby
2) DC power adapter cords too short
3) most important: loud crackling every 5-10 seconds
4) poor insulation/filtering on 50Hz that results in constant distinct 50Hz noise...
I called BebeSounds. They redirected me to Graco that acquired the product line who offered to send replacement received... in 2 weeks as it was back-ordered...
My monitor is going back. Though not ideal, looks like Summer brand has a better system.

Summary: Finally I can see my baby REALLY good! 2008-06-04
Comment: This is a wonderful monitor, I purchased this after using "summer" brand video monitor with night vision. This is an INCREDIBLE upgrade from Summer. The daytime color is nice, and the night vision is exceptional. With the old monitor, my daughter blended into the shadows of the sheets at night, so I could never really see her. With this monitor, I have detailed vision of her in complete darkness. ( she doesn't use a night light.). One important feature to know about- the camera for this system has a very bright blue light on the front, about the size of a pea - this would be great for a night light if you want one, but I did not. I felt it was WAY too bright, and lit up my daughters room too much at night. But a simple small piece of black electrical tape placed over the light completely solved the problem. I have no problem with interference at all with this system, and it comes in clear everywhere. Wish I bought it sooner!!!

Summary: Another monitor, another headache! 2008-05-28
Comment: Ugh another monitor with issues. Why oh why can't I just find and buy one that works effectively all the time! The problem with this one and perhaps I just got a "bad" one, 1/4 of the screen blacks out randomly every now and then and yes, I can turn it off and on again and it will be back to full screen but come on....The good news is dealing with Amazon to replace it with a new one was SIMPLE. Great customer service!
There is also some static but that could be a result of the various electronics in the house plus we live in a development where the houses are pretty close together, so that could also cause the interference.
Assuming the replacement monitor doesn't have the black out issue, I will be happy with this item. Before I knew how easy the return process would be, I originally gave it 2 stars. Considering how simple it was, I'll change it to a 3 and hope the new one works!

I am interested in this product but does the AC adaptor supports also 220 volts or it works only at 110 volt ?
The voltage range must be written on the adapter.
