Summary: Good stuff! 2008-06-09
Comment: Fits our little one nicely. It would have been nice to have an extra strap across the chest to keep the shoulder straps in place but the chair still works as it should. People always comment on how cool it looks. Worth the money!

Summary: My daugther and I love this high chair. 2008-06-09
Comment: I initially purchased this chair for my home, but then, after a few months of using it, decided to purchase a second one for the grandparents' home as well.
Pros: 1) It's easy to clean 2) It's easy to move it around the place and to get my daughter to the sink to wash her without getting her off the chair. And she gets really messy with spagetty or other messy foods, so not having to pick her up and get all that sauce all over me is a great plus. 3) It doesn't take much space. It sits next to the bar and it just feels right and never gets in anybody's way. 4) It looks great. 5) The lift feature is great because the grandparent's home has a lower coffee style table, so by being able to bring the seat down, she can sit next to us in front of the coffee table while we sit on the couch and have dinner. I hadn't seen another high chair that could go so low. And when we eat at the big table, we can lift it higher. It's a great idea. 6) It will grow with her. What child wouldn't love sitting in a high bar style chair while having their hair trimmed? I know she will still love it even when she grows up.
Cons: Only one. And that is that the belt system just didn't work very well for my daughter. We use the bottom part, but not the ones around the arms because she can get out of those very easely. However, she's never fallen or wiggled out out of this chair, eventhough we're only using the bottom harness. It still works fine. I'd also like to add that she is very active when she eats. She even likes to wiggle and dance while munching. And she has fallen out of a regular high chair in someone else's place. But not this one.
We loved this chair. I would highly recommend it.

Summary: Boon high chair 2008-06-09
Comment: We bought this for our 6 month old when he was ready to start eating. From the beginning the brake hasn't worked but this hasn't really affected our use of the high chair. We live in a townhouse where we don't have a ton of room so the Boon is perfect for a small condo and it has a contemporary look. I've read that the table is a little small but we are very happy with the overall size. We also use the high chair as a toy for our son as we play choo choo in the house. The only negative is that the chair is not so comfortable for our son. When he goes to his Grandmother's he uses a cheesy brand high chair and never fusses. He cries when we put him in the Boon but this will improve as he sits better. Overall very happy with the boon

Summary: Great for smaller babies! 2008-06-06
Comment: Let me start by saying that this chair is amazing! I love how easy it is to clean. The tray is low so it isn't hitting your baby right at the chest level. It is also super easy to pull around the room. The only thing about the acutal chair that I would change are the flimsy straps. They are not the best quality of harness I have seen.
With all that said...my baby is huge and this chair is not working for her! She was 22 lbs at 6 months, and at 8 months the tray is smashing her fat little legs and leaving a red mark when I take it off. Even with the tray at the furthest level away from her belly, her belly still smashes up against it too. If the tray were just a little higher off of her legs and I could pull it further away from her body, this would be the perfect chair.
If you have a small to average child, you will love this chair. If your baby is large like mine, you may want to try a different one. I had read one review that said this about big babies, and I didn't listen. I now wish I would have because they were right!
Good luck chair shopping!

Summary: Pros and Cons 2008-06-02
Comment: I've had this product for about a year now. There are definitely pros and cons. The big pro is that it is super-easy to clean. Love that.
Here are the cons:
1) Small tray -- this is not a problem when baby is little, but when you have a toddler that should be eating from a plate, it is difficult to fit a standard melanime plate plus cup on the tray.
2) Shoulder straps are worthless. Will not fit a larger baby/toddler. We just use the belt strap and leave the shoulders dangling (wish they were detachable!) I don't think it's safe to rely on the tray -- it pops out fairly easily.
3) Foot rest is useless. Although it is a good ladder for a toddler to climb into the chair.
4) Odd design choices with the tray and buckle -- the tray requires 2 hands to properly install or uninstall (why???); also the buckle really needs to be squeezed to get it into the latch (as opposed to my old peg, where the buckles slid in easily). I'm mystified why these easy fixes weren't made.
I noticed some people say the top was wobbly -- if the child is active, the bolts will loosen. You will need to periodically tighten them.
The ease of cleaning may outweigh all of this . . . Also be aware that the pneumatic lift makes this HEAVY. Not a good choice for rolling over carpet or lifting to different locations (although we do it sometimes). But the roller wheels work great on hardwood/vinyl/etc.
