Summary: Attractive and Functional! What more could you ask for? 2008-05-01
Comment: I purchased this animal bag a few months back and my daughter loves it almost as much as I do! It frees up the shelves in her closet, yet still allows me to easily cycle through letting her play with her favorite plushy of the day. For me, it's actually better than her closest for storage, because I had to keep all of her animals on the top shelf in the closet and it seems like every time I took one down, they all came tumbling down, and I was never able to put them back in an orderly manner. The three access windows are great and allow for plenty of view into the bag, and if there's a plushy that I'm sent looking for an it isn't right at the window, it isn't far away and it's really easy to get to.
Oh yeah... and this product makes a good, safe jumping platform for a 2 year old. :)

Summary: Clever but poorly constructed 2008-02-20
Comment: This animal bag is a clever solution to the problem of storing overabundant stuffed animals and it worked for a few weeks before the bag split along a seam, the zippers are excellent but the sewing on the seams is not strong enough. It is not an inexpensive item and I am disappointed that it has fallen apart...

Comment: The boon bag has been a great way of getting my child's stuffed animals organized into one space, and creating a fairly comfortable "bean bag" chair in the process. The obvious downside is that the toys are not particularly visible (which could be good now that I think about it), but they are easily accessible.

Comment: Every time my daughter receives a stuffed animal as a gift, I can barely suppress a groan. What is it about them? The kids love to snuggle with them, but there's a limit to how many can fit in a bed, much less a closet!
That's why I love the Boon Oval Animal Bag. This one is green, but it also comes in pink, and that's the one I bought for my daughter. Once it arrived, we pulled out all the stuffed animals I'd tucked away in various places to fill it up. It holds a TON of animals. In fact, as many as we had, we didn't actually get it filled enough for it to be as firm as a typical bean-bag chair. I padded out some of the extra space with extra winter blankets.
The animal bag is VERY well made. There are three entrance points, allowing the child to spot a desired animal and easily extract it from the bag. The zipper pulls are large plastic ovals, easy to grab even for little hands. And the softness of the bag is really fantastic. My 1-year-old son loves to run over to it, collapse on it, and roll around on the soft "fur."
If you're considering a bean-bag chair and want to avoid the potential danger of the fillers, the Boon Oval Animal Bag is a less expensive and safer alternative with a secondary purpose.
And the best part? Now the next time someone gives my daughter a stuffed animal, I can smile just as much as she does.
