Summary: Not quite what I was expecting... 2008-05-01
Comment: I was really looking forward to this pillow, as I am currently about 5 1/2 months along, and have been having a lot of discomfort trying to sleep. I wanted a pillow that would go between my knees, and also hold my belly up a bit, so that my back didn't hurt so much.
It did help with these two problems, but the pillow has some issues of its own. As other reviewers have said, there seems to be an excess of stuffing at the top of the pillow. It takes up a lot of space in the bed, and makes turning over cumbersome when you have anything more than a sheet covering you (as a heavy blanket holds it down). So while I am more comfortable while asleep, I wake up every time I want to turn to my other side. It seems like the pillow would be a lot better if the top part were more narrow.

Summary: Still using it 2+ years later! 2008-04-14
Comment: I got this Boppy pillow half way through my pregnancy and it made all the difference in the world. I had such bad hip and groin pain from 7 months on (along with the given back pain) and this worked wonderfully! Everyone knows you don't get solid sleep the last trimester, so this made the times I did sleep much more comfortable. In fact, our daughter is 2 1/2 now and I still use it every night! I even take it on trips because I just can't sleep without it. The stuffing is very loose which has it's good and bad points, but as long as I fluff it before crawling into bed each night, it's fine. I tried bigger, body-sized pillows and all they did was frustrate me. I could never figure out how to shift or roll-over in bed while easily moving it with me. Also, I'm a plus-sized woman, so between me, my sprawled-out husband and a huge pillow, there's no room in a queen-sized bed. This boppy is just the right size and you can easily move around with it. I recommended it to other friends and they loved it too!

Summary: Not a help 2007-05-05
Comment: I tried this pillow and couldn't get it situated to where I was any more comfortable. Pass this up and go for a Snoogle. It's a little more money, but worth it for the better night's sleep.

Summary: Love it in spite of its flaws 2006-11-06
Comment: I agree with the other posters -- this pillow's stuffing has not held up like I'd expect from a Boppy. It's almost as if someone besides Boppy made it and put the Boppy label on it; but the design is exactly what I've come to expect from Boppy: innovative and unbeliveably useful. I have been using this pillow since I was 6 months pregnant, and my baby is now almost 17 months old. I just can't give it up. My husband and I fight over it so much (he loves it, too, calls it the "comma pillow"), I'm considering getting him his own for Christmas! The shape provides so much back and bip support, even when you're not pregnant. I honestly don't think I would have gotten any sleep during my pregnancy if it hadn't been for this pillow, and the little tail (small end of the pillow) can provide amazing support for your lower back when you're nursing on your side (which means I was able to get sleep during those first few months of "sleepless" nights, also!) My pillow came with a washable case, so I toss that in the washer. The pillow did start to separate after a few months, but I've tried to keep it fluffed regularly; and I think that's helped it stay in one piece instead of separating fully into two sections. All in all, I highly recommend this pillow; but, as one other poster noted, it's a matter of personal taste -- and body shape -- as to whether it will become your favorite or be deemed a poor investment. I've definitely gotten my money's worth, and will likely buy another one when this one wear out -- even if I don't have another baby.

Summary: Stuffing not packed tight enough 2006-05-10
Comment: I got this when I was about 6.5 months pregnant after my husband said the my back was sore in the morning was that my belly was pulling it out of alignment. At first I was a bit confused as to how this pillow would help, but I managed to stuff a bit of it under my belly and it seemed to do the trick.
However, there is a lot of excess pillow not being used for support, and it takes up bed space. I'm now eight months pregnant and find that I don't need it as much as my belly is big enough to touch the bed itself when I'm lying on my side and therefore not pulling on my back. I find the stuffing to be quite loose (as in the pillow case should be sewn smaller) and it does shift and pack down - especially on the leg portion. (I am 5'2" and about 150 at this point, so I imagine it would be worse for a larger person.)
If I was doing it over again, I think I'd try the wedge instead.
