Summary: Works great for us! 2008-10-01
Comment: I bought this stroller for traveling with my 18 month old. We had a cheapo $10 umbrella stroller for my son (now 4 years old) and my husband couldn't figure out why we needed to spend more than that to replace it. After one walk (even though he forgot to unlock the front wheels) he agreed with me it was a good buy.
My husband is 6'1" and doesn't kick the back of the stroller. I like that the back adjusts for a sleeping kid (the $10 one I had didn't). And the steering is really smooth (especially when you remember to unlock the wheels!). And bonus? When my daughter is tired of riding and my son is tired of walking, they swap. It easily fits my 42 lb 4 year old.

Summary: When you need a stroller for the older child 2008-09-27
Comment: We travel alot. I searched for months to find a stroller that would accomodate the older/heavier child as we like to have the option of a stroller in airports and amusements parks, etc. Our son is now 5 years old, 39lbs and 43 inches tall. I know some folks will say he's old enough to walk but you try carrying a tired kid around Legoland!
We got the Combi Flare in chili (red) right before heading on a vacation to MN that would include Mall of America and a day at the State Fair. 11 hours at the MN State Fair with a 5 yr old would have been torture without a stroller. It fits the bill!
(+) Lightweight, easy to open and close, fits the older child, can't beat those long handles, cup holder for the child, wheels move smoothly, stylish without being too "baby", reclines and has nice big shade (both which are harder to find in "big kid" strollers), affordable, totally removable "gate?" on the front for the big kids who don't need it.
(-) Somewhat flimsy feel, especially when on carpet or trying to start pushing while turning at the same time, no cup holder for parent, difficult to reach under storage(impossible when seat is reclined), you must line the wheels up just so when closing it or the lock won't engage.
This was the right purchase for our needs!

Summary: Probably not suitable for small infants 2008-09-21
Comment: I bought the stroller for my 1st air travel with my 3 month old infant as it is one of the few lightweight stroller that has high recommendations and specification states that it is suitable from birth onwards. My son keeps sliding downwards and support is not great. In addition, it does not recline as well as I thought. Thus, if you are thinking of using this on an infant who has yet to have a strong neck and sit up, DO NOT consider this stroller. However, it is very lightweight and I believe it will come handy when my son is older i.e. at least 6-8 months.

Summary: Ok but not great 2008-09-08
Comment: The carriage is in fact very light, the folding mechanism is kind of clumsy and the front wheels don't handle well at all. My daughter likes the carriage very much because she can sit up but at 31 and 1/4" long, the carriage almost looks small for her when she sits up.

Summary: Worth every penny! 2008-09-08
Comment: I absolutely love this stroller. It fits very nicely in the back of my Mazda 6 wagon. I bought it specifically to remain in my car, but not take up as much room as my Graco Quattro (which is an awesome stroller, too...just VERY large) I used to own a minivan, but downsized to the station wagon, and it fits very nicely while leaving plenty of room for other things.
I get compliments on the Combi Flare all the time. People are always asking me where I found it...no stores in this area sell it.
I actually purchased a Jeep umbrella stroller first, and was not satisfied with it. When I put my baby in it, he looked very cramped and uncomfortable. I returned it the next day, went home, and ordered the Combi Flare with next day shipping. The Combi is DEFINITELY worth the extra $30.
Recently, we took it to a water park. I have 2 children (4 yrs and 7 mos). We were able to fit everything we needed by either stuffing it in the basket below, or in a bag hung over the handle bar. Also, on the back of the canopy, there is a handy little pouch where you can put a water bottle, or cell phone, or keys.
I use the Combi mostly to carry my 7 month old, but it can also hold the 4 year old...the weight limit is actually 50 lbs.
[...]
I highly recommend it...worth every penny spent.
