Summary: Best warmer for disposeable wipes. 2008-07-30
Comment: I have tried three wipes warmers. I was given the Munchkin which rusted and I returned it for a refund. I purchased the Prince Lionheart which is too hot for disposeables and great for cloth wipes or washcloths (see my review on that product page). This was given to me by a cousin in April when I had my third child.
This is the best warmer for disposeable wipes. It warms from the top down which is best for disposeables. It has a night light and a window to allow you to see the wipes. The window gets clouded with condensation but you can still see how full -- at night when you are sleepy it can be hard to tell how many wipes are left.
It has a rubber flap on the top to help keep wipes moist and it is just enough to take the chill off especially at night. The wipes get a little too warm. But they cool as soon as they are removed from the warmer so by the time you wipe the baby they are a perfect temperature.
I love this warmer especially for disposeables wipes. I use Pampers or Huggies and I always use the wipes that don't have any perfumes because my baby has very sensitive skin. Good luck -- this is a teriffic warmer.

Summary: Great wipe warmer! 2008-04-10
Comment: I got this when my first son was born because he cried whenever the cold wipes touched him. He immediately loved the warm wipes. We've had this warmer for 2 years and it still works great! You don't have to add water to this one like some of the others. It's very easy, just open the wipes and put them in and you're ready to go. I would definitely recommend this to anyone with a baby.

Comment: My first Dex wipe warmer, I bought at a garage sale with no instruction booklet. I did not know that you are supposed to add 1/2 cup of water with the wipes into the warmer. However, I never had brown wipes and when I filled the warmer full the last few were a little on the dry side. My first child got older and broke the lid off, so for my second child I had to buy a new one and I figured that all wipe warmers are the same. Not true; the one I bought turned the wipes brown and dried out all the wipes. I have since purchased a new Dex wipe warmer and I add the 1/2 cup of water with a full pack of wipes and I never have had problem with dry, brown, or cold wipes again. I will never try another brand of wipe warmer again.

Summary: An ESSENTIAL baby supply 2008-03-05
Comment: I was told by several friends not ot spoil my baby with a wipes warmer. Hah! How cruel can you be? I went one week with a newborn who cried at every changing due to cold wipes before I realized my friends didn't know what they were talking about. I bought the Dex wipes warmer with the light and have been extremely happy with it and so has my 10 month old son. He never cries when I change his diaper and I can change him during a sound sleep and he won't wake up provided I use a warm baby wipe. Why would any parent torture their baby with a cold wipe to their bottom? I use the Seventh Generation wipes and they work perfectly. I have never added water to the warmer and never had a dried out stack of wipes. I find this warmer also helpful as it allows you to use just one hand to pull the wipe and change the baby. My son hates when we're on the go and I have to change his diaper with a cold wipe. His fussiness on those few ocassions tells me this product was well worth the money. Ignore those parents who tell you this is a luxury. It's a necessity!! Should be on everyone's registry and I wouldn't buy the Prince Lionheart brand due to needing to change the pad at the bottom of the unit.

Comment: This warmer is great. I looked at many reviews before I bought this one. It warms from the top which is a good feature. I have went through about 10 refills in wipes and so far so GREAT! It says you should add up to 1/2 cup of water everytime you put new wipes in. I have no idea why!! The wipes stay perfectly wet with no water added. My baby sleeps through the night so I go from 8pm until 7am without using the wipes and they don't dry out one bit. No browning either. I didn't use a warmer with my daughter and my son is now 3 months old. I was always told not to get one because then the baby would cry and scream when you had to use a cold wipe (traveling, shopping, visiting, etc.). Then, I used some wipes at my brothers house from a warmer. The expression on my little guys face made me have to have one. He loves it. Before the warmer he never cried or fussed with the cold wipes, but he would jet his arms out to the side and his legs out straight at the first touch of the cold wipes. Not any more. Worth the cost!! One thing though...don't rely on the built in light to give you a lot of light. I don't need to use it b/c as I said earlier my baby sleeps though the night :) but I do use it to check how many wipes are left. I can turn it on and see how many wipes are in there. That is another benefit of this little machine...being able to see when you are running out of wipes. I purchased the Wal-Mart one ( I think it was Lionheart or something like that). I brought it back right away. It is very handy to see how many wipes are left.
