Product Description
How wonderful to be able to hear and record the sounds of your unborn baby's heartbeat, kicks, and hiccups right at home. The Prenatal Heart Listener includes an adapter that lets you connect your own headset so two people can listen at the same time. It's so easy. Just place the monitor on your bare stomach, press the activation button, and the monitor will amplify your baby's sounds. The Prenatal Heart Listener is completely non-intrusive and is absolutely safe for you and your baby. It was developed by a neonatal nurse and uses the bell stethoscope method to detect your baby's sounds. For best results, listen 3-4 hours after a meal and in the evening when your baby is most active. Your baby's sounds may be heard as early as the middle of your second trimester. But don't just listen. Connect our recording cable to your table recorder and record these precious sounds as you listen. Also record your own heartbeat to soothe your newborn baby.

Comment: Put it on your heart and you can hear it, put it on your belly and GOOD LUCK! I bought this during my first pregnancy and it never worked to detect the heart beat and, I kid you not, I spent hours trying. I am now 36+ weeks pregnant with my second and still cannot hear the HB with it. My son loves to listen to his own heart though. If I could give this 0 stars I would. Because of this product, I would NEVER buy anything else from BebeSounds.

Comment: I bought this product when I was 20 weeks pregnant. Now I am in my 31st week and it has NEVER worked! I can't believe they have the guts to sell this to excited parents-to-be.

Comment: Yes, you CAN hear your baby's heartbeat with this device. You are unlikely to hear it before six months though, and even then it can be elusive. Just have patience. We've listened to our baby's heartbeat several times since then, and because it comes with dual headphones, we can listen together.
I don't bother with the input devices though. Your baby can hear your voices and music fine without adding the equivalent of blast speakers to your belly.

Summary: You'll hear everything... but the baby 2007-05-09
Comment: This product sucked in so many ways, it's hard to even begin to describe it. We followed the instructions to the letter and all we could hear was dogs barking 2 blocks away sounding as if they were right next to you. So did cars passing by, airplanes and so on; all of this at 3 in the morning on the quietest spot in our home.
Do yourself a favor, don't even bother with this product and PLEASE tell all your friends not to buy it if they are really interested on listening to their babies.

Summary: It never worked 2007-01-05
Comment: The product says that around 20 weeks you should be able to hear the baby's heartbeat. Well, I'm 30 weeks now and I still can't hear the baby's heartbeat while using it. It was a total waste of money.
