Product Description
The Fisher-Price Aquarium Bath Tub brings a comfortable bath time experience to both babies and parents in three stages of use: Newborn, Infant and Older Infant/Toddler. Each stage has a different washing position and use for the soft sling. In Newborn Mode, hang the sling from both ends, providing a safe and comfortable platform for bathing even the youngest babies. The sling includes a head support for stability. In Infant Mode, the sling sits along the slope of the narrow end of the tub and provides support for infants that cannot hold themselves up. Additionally, the bump in the base of the tub provides a stop. In Toddler Mode, sitting babies can sit at the wider end of the tub, giving them more room. The sling provides added support along the back wall. The Fisher-Price: Aquarium Bath Tub has soft cushions along the upper lip of the tub, giving parents a comfortable resting position for their arms and wrists. Comment: This tub is absolutely wonderful. At first I was skeptical about spending double the cheaper models, but just for the hammock feature, it's worth it! Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the toys, too, but the greatest accomplishment of this little wonder is freeing her father and I from our bathtime anxiety! When she was small enough to be using the hammock we knew we were actually bathing her, but didn't have to worry about her security at all. (Little soapy babies are slippery!) Same deal with stages two and three. Wonderful product!!

Comment: I love this bathtub! The hammock made it really easy for our newborn. Now that he's 4 month old, we're using it only attached to one side. He doesn't slip and I can't wait until he can sit in the wider end of the tub and can enjoy the little "cups" and splash. I liked the tub so much I gave it already as a Shower Gift.
One con, the bump, because it's not placed very great in the tub, so that he sits very high, which makes washing the hair a bit harder. If he lies down, the bump sticks in his back, but it's manageable. Tub on the wider end is bigger than other tubs though, which is a plus.

Comment: I really enjoy this tub for my preemie. The best feature would have to be the sling. Since my baby is tiny he fits perfect and does not slip or slide.

Comment: My daughter is now 12 weeks old and I wish we had bought the tub earlier so we could have tried out the newborn hammock feature - she was too big for it when we started using the tub, but I think she would have liked it.
The pros of the tub are the included washing cups and the head pillow on the hammock. The main con in my opinion is the seat/bump in the middle of the tub. The seat is meant to be a support for the baby and we do use it that way. But if we really sit my daughter on it, she is up out of the water and cold. If I recline her lower, then the bump pokes her in the back and she is uncomfortable. The other con is that the tub doesn't drain especially well through the drain plug - I always have to spend time trying to get the last of the water out.
We really bought this tub because it was cute and gimmicky and matched our other Aquarium stuff, but I think we would have been better off with a plain old empty tub.

Comment: We had a first years tub for our two older sons, but when Fisher Price came out with the Aquarium tub, we just had to get it. It cost $30, which is more than the other tubs, but well worth the money. This tub can go from birth to 2 yrs old. A good stretch of time for baby growing into different stages of life. Love the fish design and the hammock. The attached cups are good too for rinsing the soap off or just letting your baby play and have some fun. It is not a compact tub, but smaller than some of the other huge 4 in 1 tubs. Overall another great product made by Fisher Price.
