Product Description
Packed with entertaining features, this activity quilt "grows" with Baby from one developmental stage to the next. Start out using it as a soft play quilt, letting the stimulating patterns, delightful music and exciting toys dangling overhead encourage batting, grasping and kicking. As Baby grows, convert it to a crawl-through play space, complete with "porthole" for an imaginative view. Remove the arches to machine-wash the quilt, or roll it up for easy portability. Long-life non-replaceable batteries included. Amazon.com Product Reviews
The Fisher Price Ocean Wonders kick and crawl aquarium gym is a nice addition to the Ocean Wonders line. The same brightly colored and happy sea creatures make an appearance on this play mat/gym/tunnel. When it is mat time, the two soft toy bars dangle toys that baby can kick and bat at. The soft fabric is fun to touch and has plenty to look at. One of the dangling fish has a spinner, while the other plays quick tunes that aren't overly loud. Baby will enjoy kicking the little beach ball to hear it rattle. Convert to tummy-time mode so baby can strengthen their core and help their EQ with the mirror and reactive toys. Once baby is crawling, convert the gym to the tunnel for some aquatic peek-a-boo. You can still attach the toys, but the fun to be had is crawling in and out or peering through the mesh sides. Manufacturer recommended age is birth to 18 months. --Scott Teal

Summary: The bad reviewers didn't read the directions 2008-08-12
Comment: We love this toy in our house! Some of the bad reviews I just don't understand.
First, the soft bars stay put just fine if you attach the velcro straps on the bottom. I carry this thing by the soft bars all over the house and I have never had one come out.
The reviewer who said the bar on the bottom was under her baby didn't assemble it properly. The two blue bars go to the sides of the mat, not underneath it. It did take me a minute to figure out how to attach the mat to the plastic bars, but I figured it out.
The musical fish isn't great. I'll give the bad reviewers that one. My son isn't even close to being able to push the button by batting at it, and the songs only last about 5 seconds.
The beach ball is GREAT though. My son learned how to kick it at about 4 weeks old and loves it.

Summary: Keeps Daughter Entertained 2008-07-22
Comment: I bought this when my daugher was 3mo to use at Grandma's house, she's there 2-3 days a week. Now she's 6mo and still enjoys it. She loves kicking the ball and being able to bat at the fish at the same time. She also loves tummy time, she likes to look at the mat and play with the toys. I like that the mat folds so she can easily look and play with the toys and can keep her head up a bit. I don't understand some other reviews, the mat does attach to arches easily and the fish are not made of all solid plastic, they have a few plastic parts but are mostly soft. I can't wait until she can crawl through. I have one of the large play mats with criss cross arches and definetly prefer it over this, but this does the job as an extra and I'm pleased with the purchase.

Summary: Okay product 2008-06-08
Comment: I bought this gym for my daughter. She played with it for a bit, but now that she's rolling over, it's pretty confining as an overhead gym. She never liked it as a tummy time mat and she's not crawling quite yet, so the crawl through option is useless for us right now. It's bright and colorful but is really a pain to switch between the different types of play types.

Summary: Wasn't very impressed 2008-06-01
Comment: I bought this for my 4 month old grandson. Maybe he was just too old, but he was able to bat the fish down and since they are made of hard plastic - it konked him in the head pretty good. He wasn't able to activate the music very easily and it only plays for a couple of seconds. It also does not seem very sturdy to me. He will try to pull up on it and it just caves in on him. It doesn't stay flat on the floor- it gets all wrinkled up when he is on his tummy. I will say that the ball that comes with it has been just about worth the whole price of the gym because he loves it. It is a beach ball type blow up ball with another ball inside and he plays with it a lot. It has a strap attached to it, so he can hold on to it easily and it is very entertaining to him.

Summary: I love it!! 2008-05-20
Comment: My baby is only 8 weeks old, but he enjoys looking at the toys, I am looking forward to when he's older and crawls through it. It only took me a few minutes to put it together. I like that its not big and bulky. The price is good too, we all know that babies outgrow stuff so quickly!
