Shiny leaves wave gently up and down while a smiling dragonfly plays peek-a-boo! Other rainforest friends join in the fun, dancing and twirling as the mobile spins around. Use the remote to start classical music or soothing sounds from the rainforest. The mobile offers three modes: 1) music, lights and motion for 10 minutes 2) music and motion for over 12 minutes 3) music and lights for 18 minutes. And when it's time to remove the mobile from the crib, convert it to a music box with soft night light. Mobile recommended for ages birth-5 months. Mobile requires 3 D size batteries. Remote Control requires 2 AA size batteries. Batteries not included. Assembly required.

The Fisher-Price Rainforest Peek-a-Boo Leaves musical mobile is soothing treat for baby during naptime or nighttime. Three modes allow for 10 minutes of music, lights and motion, 12 minutes of music and motion, or 18 minutes of music and lights. Baby can listen to classical masterpieces or to the calming sounds of the rainforest. It attaches easily to the side of the crib, and the remote control allows for soothing sounds to be started from afar. When baby outgrows the mobile, remove it and keep the music box and night light. Although the mobile doesn't have a volume control, the music is on the softer side so no startled babies or parents when the button is pressed in the middle of the night. It requires three D batteries that are not included and is recommended from birth and up. --Scott Teal

Comment: This was bought for twins. It was easy to mount and the music is very nice. The girl is indifferent to it but the boy loves it. However, it gets him excited which is really the opposite of what we are trying to accomplish. Overall, we are pleased with this product and would recommend it.

Comment: While this product is perhaps the most effective thing for getting our three month old to coo excitedly, it also seems to make him to cry at times. I don't know if the flapping leaves somehow instinctually remind him of a swooping hawk (no one else seems to have this issue, so perhaps not), but we have to take it down at night for him to sleep.

Summary: The Best Mobile! 2008-05-06
Comment: We just love this mobile, and baby does too. I love how it not only spins but the leaves go up and down. The rain forest sounds are adorable too. It was a breeze to set up and attach to the crib. The only two negatives about this mobile is that it has about a 10 minute timer and then it shuts off which I wish you could change or at least make it stay on a bit longer than that. The other thing is that our baby also has a Fischer Price aquarium attached to her crib and when using the remote it turns that aquarium on and off instead of the mobile!

Comment: Ok. I rarely review products on Amazon but I just had to post my thoughts on this mobile. My baby had a really hard time falling asleep. I am not kidding when I say because of this mobile I can now lay her down, turn it on and it actually PUTS HER TO SLEEP. This has de-stressed our bedtime routine immensely. She loves it. We do all the things we normally would but instead of her crying when I lay her down she watches and listens to this mobile contently until she falls asleep. Also, when she wakes super early I can use the handy remote, turn it on and she coos at it for a while so i don't have to jump up right away.
