Product Description
The Swing 'n Glider is a glider for newborns that easily converts to a traditional swing for older babies, giving parents the ability to soothe baby at the youngest age with a gentle motion AND the ability to soothe and entertain baby with a swing. Or, moms can just play around with different motions and find the right one when baby is fussy. Swing features six speeds that can be used in either the Glider or Swing mode. A two-position recline and three-point restraint keeps baby secure, and a small tray keeps food or toys close at hand. Soft infant seat insert is removable and machine washable. There are two music modes with 16 songs total: eight etheral, spa-like songs and eight more traditional lullabies. A swing-away mobile with three plush toys hangs overhead to delight and entertain. Swing includes a plug with a quick-release safety feature for continuous swinging without batteries, but is also operable by 4 "D" batteries, not included. Measures 32"L x 30"W x 45"H.

Summary: Worked great for about a month 2008-09-22
Comment: This swing worked great for about a month and was even a bit fast for a newborn. But now it will barely swing. It works when the swing is empty but as soon as I put my 14 lb baby in it, the swing barely moves...and the glider doesn't move at all. I'm disappointed to say the least.

Summary: a pretty good swing 2008-03-18
Comment: Both of our twin boys will fall asleep in this swing and as far as I am concerned that is by far its biggest benefit. I don't really see much difference between the swing and the glide other than the position of the seat. I wish that the music would stay on and not turn off after a few minutes and I wish that the mobile was a little more interesting, but overall, this is a good swing. Being able to plug it into the wall is great and saves a lot of batteries.

Summary: slow swinger 2008-02-04
Comment: We have had this swing/glider for 6 weeks and it has been a life saver for our now six week old daughter who will not sleep in her crib. The reason I am giving it such a poor score is that the swing does not seem to have any power even though it is plugged in to an outlet. My daughter is only 9 pounds and the swing/glider only moves about 3 inches back and forth and the speed dial does not change anything. It used to work well, so I don't know what the problem is now. It's only on for a few hours during the night and gets a break all day.

Summary: baby loves it when modified to slower speed 2007-12-19
Comment: After we saw how much our baby liked her swing downstairs, I wanted to get a different one for our upstairs room.
The glide option is great, and so is the fact that it plugs in. I like the mobile that moves out of the way, but it would be nice if it were motorized and moved or something other than just dangling above her head. I also wish it came in other colors since this one is kinda boy-ish.
The swing does not go slow enough, so we have to drape a blanket or something over it to slow it down (it even suggests doing this in the manual!). It's also pretty noisy, and it takes up a lot of space.
Other than that though, the baby likes it!

Comment: I can clearly say that this swing is great the motor is quiet, the music is clear and clean sounding not tinny. And the padding is so easy to remove, clean, and to reattach. Babys love this thing, it's the next best thing to rocking them yourself.
