Summary: Yea! 2008-06-19
Comment: This is the perfect BPA free option for young kids. Love it. I'm certain we'll be on the lookout for replacement straws down the road, but we'll cross that bridge when we come to it.

Summary: The best straw cup I've found so far. 2008-05-30
Comment: I am very happy with how well this cup keeps beverages cold. I used to pour out a lot more sour milk before I started using these. My 2 year old has no problem opening and closing the lid, and this cup is less likely to leak than the Munchkin straw cups I have used up until now. These are very similar to the Thermos "Funtainer" cups, but they do differ in the straw assembly. I found a blog that explains it very well http://babytoolkit.blogspot.com/2007/05/thinking-thermos-funtainer-and-foogo.html but basically, the Foogo cups are designed to be more safe for smaller children. These are very well designed, user-friendly cups. My only knock on these is the process required to obtain replacement straws. There is no way to simply buy them at a store or order them online. You have to call Thermos customer service at 1-800-831-9242 during business hours (they close at 4:30pm central time) and if you call after hours, you could sit on hold forever without realizing that they're closed. I called at 2:30pm central time and got right through and was able to order the replacement straws I needed easily enough. They only cost $1 each, plus a small shipping charge. My suggestion would be to jump through this hoop as soon as you purchase your cups so that you have them on hand when you need them. I wash mine in the dishwasher and they have held up just fine. One of my straws slipped through the cracks and melted on the metal element in my dishwasher, hence the need for a replacement. The bottom line is that I've had these cups for 6 months now and I love them. I'm buying a few more to phase out my older plastic Munchkin cups. They are well worth a few extra dollars.

Summary: Highly Recommended with Extra Straws 2008-05-27
Comment: I own 2 of these. One for each child. I use these thermos' on a daily basis. We take them whenever we go out. I love them. My kids love them. It is great to not have to worry about milk spoiling too soon or stopping off somewhere to buy drinks. I sometimes add ice into the thermos' to be sure the drinks will stay cool longer. In the first 2 weeks of owning this, the straws broke. I initially was disappointed but did realize that they broke while my husband was handling them (he would drop the straw on the ground when he pulled off the top of the thermos). I called the customer service line and purchased 10 straws (1.00 each plus shipping cost). I received these in less than 1 week. I thought I was only getting the straw part, but they sent the whole unit (sippy part included). I have not needed to replace my straws since! I just use the extras when I don't want to spend time washing the used ones right away. So, I highly recommend getting the extra straws. Also, to clean the straw unit, I have a tiny brush that fits into it. My MIL gave them to me. Apparently, it comes with some denture cleaning products. This is really good to have for cleaning purposes.

Summary: Straw broke 2008-04-28
Comment: We were extremley happy with this cup's look and non leakage but it was heavy for our one year old, I still loved it but after about a month the straw broke! It seems like a simple contraption but now when my son sucks nothing comes up. We can't figure out why and it has no hole, it has something to do with the non-leaking mechanism in the straw. Very sad it didn't work out.

Summary: very smelly 2008-04-22
Comment: i purchased one of these for my son today and the chemical smell it has is just awful. i washed it and aired it out but it is still there. it is going back to target asap! i also bought a funtainer straw bottle made by thermos for my daughter and it doesn't smell funny and seems to be basically the same idea.
