Summary: NOT LEAK PROOF 2008-11-25
Comment: IF I HAVE TO TRY TO CLEAN PRUNE JUICE OUT OF THE CARPET ONE MORE TIME..WHICH I WON'T BECAUSE I AM PUTTING THIS THERMOS IN THE GARBAGE. LOVED IT IN THE BEGINNING BECAUSE MY DAUGHTER COULD OPEN THE TOP AND USE IT HERSELF, BUT OVER THE PAST FEW WEEKS IT HAS STARTED LEAKING WHEN LEFT ON ITS SIDE ON THE GROUND--AS CHILDREN TEND TO LEAVE THINGS. IF YOU TIGHTEN THE TOP TOO MUCH IT MAKES A GAP AT THE STRAW AND LEAKS FROM THERE AND IF YOU DON'T TIGHTEN IT ENOUGH IT LEAKS. I HAVE TRIED EVERYTHING AND AM TIRED OF FINDING IT ON ITS SIDE SOMEWHERE WITH A HUGE PUDDLE UNDERNEATH IT.

Summary: awesome item 2008-10-24
Comment: This item just happen to show up at my door 20 minutes before I left for my grand daughters 12th birthday party.
She was thrilled with it and the 10oz food Thermos I purchased (as a set) for her. With winter moving in on us FAST here in New England, she wanted to take hot foods to school for lunch.
Thanks bunches!!!

Summary: It does leak 2008-10-24
Comment: I bought a new one the other day to see if I had a couple of duds and experiment. I took it home filled it with water without taking anything apart, turned it upside down and water streamed out of the vent hole. Taking it back. I bought two (pink and blue) previously. Both leak. I thought this would be the greatest thing since is was BPA free and cold keep drinks cold. I like the sippy cup by the same company but my daughter has graduated to the straw types. It started leaking from day one. After washing it, I would spend 5 minutes trying to align the vent hole different ways to prevent leaking. It was also dropped from about 2 feet and the hinge broke. No way to fix that so basically it now has no lid. I have emailed the company with no response and don't plan on sitting on hold for 20 minutes like others have. Even the company website says it does not leak if the lid is closed. Sure when you open it all the liquid that fills up the lid comes out. How many children remember to close the lid after they take a drink? I wish I could take it back. I am going back to Nalgene and Camelbak BPA free. Save your money.

Summary: A Better Design -- a review of the Pink Foogo 2008-10-19
Comment: Last year I bought a Foogo thermos for my daughter's lunchbox. It worked so well that when we decided to give up our other plastic beverage containers, I thought immediately about buying an additional Foogo.

The new one as turns out has a different design. The old model has a sippy part which was small and easy to loose; but worse (and I didn't think about this until I saw the new design) it was a choking-hazard for younger children because they could easily pull it off.

The new design avoids this problem because now you have to unscrew the top and remove the sippy from underneath .

Like the old model, I have to say I'm pleased with these. They seem just as sturdy, and the old model didn't fall apart through a year of hard use by a second grader, and I don't expect this one to do that either.

Both models keep her drinks cool; Milk that comes home at the end of day isn't spoiled, although it is tepid.

Both the exterior and inside liners are stainless steel. The cover is hard plastic, while the sippy-parts are human-grade plastic.

The only downside to the new version that I can see thus far, is that there are no extra replacement parts. [The old model gave you a replacement straw and sippy part]

Summary: Foogo Thermos Review 2008-08-15
Comment: Have tried other straw cups w/ my now 19 month old and the cups were mostly frustrating to clean. The best thing about this one is how easy it is to clean! My daughter also loves to drink out of it - and for the most part it doesn't leak.
