Summary: NOT BPA-free 2008-05-26
Comment: The nipples collapsed while my daughter was feeding and we had to interrupt her feeding to allow air to go into the bottle. Also, Amazon advertised these as BPA-free and they are not!

Summary: bUYER BEWARE: Contains toxic PVC! Do Not Buy! 2006-11-09
Comment: BUYER BEWARE: Contains Toxic PVC! Do Not Buy!
These bottles contain PVC, dangerous, toxic and carinogenic. PVC is banned in Europe but not yet in the U.S. although most companies are removing it from children's products. This one still contains PVC.
Other Polycarbonate product examples to AVOID:
Bottles: Avent; Dr. Brown's; Evenflo (clear); First Years; Gerber (clear); Playtex Vent Aire; Sassy; TupperCare.
Sippy cups to AVOID: Gerber Suzy's Zoo & Sippy Snacker, Playtex First Sipster & Sparkling Sipster.
SAFER ALTERNATIVES: (Non-polycarbonate products)
Bottles: Evenflo glass or pastel polyethylene plastic; Gerber polypropylene opaque plastic; Medela breastmilk polypropylene storage bottles and polyethylene milk storage bags; disposable bottle systems with polyethylene plastic inserts (e.g., Playtex Nurser, Playtex Drop-Ins).
ALSO SAFER: "Sippy" cups made of polypropylene or polyethylene: Avent Magic Cup; Evenflo cups (inner lining); First Years Take & Toss; Gerber Color Change, Sport Fun Grip and Soft Starter; Playtex Sipster, Big Sipster & Quick Straw.
Note: Baby bottle nipples are usually made of silicone or latex rubber. Silicone nipples are lighter in color and are safer, as latex rubber nipples may leach carcinogenic nitrosamines.22
Please educate yourself on the dangers of PVC and safer alternatives, especially for children's products, including many toys. Pass along this information to all you know with children, 'google' PVC-free alternatives, and as consumers let's force companies to stop using this toxin.

Summary: my favorite bottles 2006-06-29
Comment: I recieved one of these bottles as a gift and I ended up going to the store right away to buy more. I had several sets of avent bottles, which I do like, but I like these better, and the baby likes them to. I like the triagular shape, making them much easier to grasp, and the slow flow nipples work well, and the baby seems to be less gassy. I wish I would have known about these before I recieved all of my other bottles, but as a first time mom everything is trial and error.
