Summary: BPA reports 2008-04-22
Comment: This is a great bottle, worked well for my two months old, but as I just discovered, it reportedly, according to several sites, is made of type of plastic that contains BPA, which causes cancer in animal studies.
Bottle made with different types of plastic (softer, a bit cloudy type), supposedly don't have this chemical.
Bottles madeof platic like this are taken off the market in Canada from what I see and soon will be taken off shelves in some Us stores.

Summary: great bottle design horrable material 2008-03-03
Comment: why would you risk all the hazzards out there with cinnection to bphs' link to so many illnesses. go with glass bottles or the non clear type bottles that do not leach this stuff. Read the report and make up your own mind. [...]

Summary: Finally a bottle that has slow enough flow for a newborn 2008-01-13
Comment: I bought these bottles as a last resort. I had already been through Avent, Playtex Nursers, Soothies, and Evenflo. All of their slow flow nipples were way too fast for my newborn twins. The formula ran right out of their mouths and went everywhere. These nipples are actually slow flow and do not run too fast. I like how easy to clean the wide mouth bottles and wider nipples are. Also, I like the fact that they are standard bottles, no liners to buy and they can be used in my bottle warmer that uses steam, which is much faster than the bottle warmers that do not. I just wish that I had tried them sooner instead of going straight to more expensive ones like Avent.

Summary: Better than the others 2007-12-19
Comment: I would not say this is a "perfect" bottle, but it is better than all the others I've tried. Our 2 month old was very colicky in the beginning, so we tried Playtex Vent Aire b/c of all the things we heard. I kept the bottles for the past 2 months, but after only 2 weeks the discs started leaking. I went around and around w/Playtex on the phone, first they said I didn't boil them long enough, then that it was the powdered formula that shouldn't be shaken in the bottles, etc., etc. They did send me new discs and I tried doing everything exactly the way they said, but we still had constant problems w/them leaking. The only good thing about them was that no liquid would leak out at all (due to the vacuum) unless the baby is actively sucking. Fed up with the leaking next we tried 2 different kinds of drop in liner bottles. These were convenient (except for the cost to keep replacing the liners) but when tilted down the milk would quickly drip out of the nipples, much faster than my baby could drink. As a last resort we tried these NUK type...and they are by far the best! Nothing will leak out of the nipples unless you hold the bottle completely vertical. Some milk does tend to leak out of my baby's mouth, so that part is not as good as the vent aire, but, a bib around his neck takes care of the problem, and I would much rather deal with that then with leaking bottles on my dresser and in my diaper bag!
