Summary: OK but difficult to assemble! 2008-07-29
Comment: Pros:
-It keeps my daughter calm for a few minutes here and there, and occasionally she sleeps in the swing.
-It is very sturdy
-The neutral color matches everything.
Cons:
-I had more help assembling this swing from looking at the picture on the box than from the tiny illustrations and the vague instructions. For example, it tells you to attach part A to Part B, but it doesn't tell you HOW to do it. It took me about an hour and a half to assemble and with clearer instructions it could have taken 20 minutes.
-The tray is impossible to take off once you put it on unless you want to break it off.
-It doesn't come with batteries.
All in all, I'm glad I bought the swing but I don't know if it was worth nearly $100 when I practically had to assemble it from scratch.

Summary: Sleeps like a baby 2008-03-24
Comment: We received this as a Christmas gift when our daughter was less that two months old. She was sleeping poorly in her bassinet so we moved her over to the swing. She's been sleeping in it ever since. I removed the 5 pt harness and left it as a 3 pt because it also has the leg post in the middle. I also removed the infant support. We just lay a blanket underneath her, flip the end of it over her legs, and snap her in.
I've used both the timer and the sounds settings. Both work great. I just wish the timer told you how long before it shut off without having to look at the manual.
Battery life is excellent. I use it from 9:30 PM to 7 AM every night and usually 2 hours in the afternoon on the weekends and 3 D batteries last about 3 weeks. You can actually hear the swing motor run for a couple of swings and rest for a couple of swings. It's very quiet and efficient.
The swing has 6 speeds and at 14lbs, our daughter is only on #3.
I would definitely recommend this product. We'll eventually switch our LO over to a crib, but for now, this is the way to go.
