Summary: Caution! 2008-12-05
Comment: I have purchased the Graco Comfort Sport based on the reviews on Amazon and the generally good crash test ratings. We also own a Britax Roundabout (our primary car seat) installed in a Volvo. The plan was to have the Graco as a second car seat in my BMW. Our child is a little over 20lb. and has outgrown the infant seat, thus we decided to buy convertible car seats. For maximum safety, it is recommended to keep your child rear facing as long as possible (and the weight limit on the Graco for this is 30lb., on the Britax it's 35lb.). Upon installation of the Graco, I was really shocked at how poorely a fit this car seat is in the rear facing position. Since the center rear seat is by far the safest, and preferred, I tried installing the Graco with the seat belt option (since most cars have no latch connectors for the center seat). Upon reading the manual and trying the installation, I was shocked to discover that the Graco has no seat belt cutoff (unlike many other car seats). As such, the car seat installation primarily depends on the locking feature of the automatic seat belt (which you will never get as tight as needed). After proper installation in rear facing position, I pulled the seat belt as tight as I could (I am 6 ft, 180lb.), and yet I could pull the seat side to side several inches, downright scary. Keep in mind that most car seats in a rear facing installation will not be very tight, since there is no side hugging the back of the seat (unlike in a forward seating position). The manual also mentioned several times that you MUST NOT use the tether strap in the rear-facing position. After some research on the web, I found out that only Britax and the Radian car seats are approved to use a tether strap in the rear-facing position. For all other car seats, it says it must not be used under any circumstances. When installing the Britax, only after the tether was connected tightly, I felt that the seat was really solidly installed.
I then bit the bullet and wanted to install the Graco in a forward facing position. Together with the tether strap, that allows for a somewhat solid installation, but I am still bummed by the non-existant seat belt lockoffs. Also, the seat is pretty wide and (compared to the Britax Roundabout) and makes sitting next to it (when installed in the center seat) extremely cumbersome, even installed in a pretty spacious 5 series BMW.
In general, I would not recommend this car seat due to the installation difficulty and possibility of not being able to achieve a solid fit. Also, keep in mind that you should keep your kid in the CENTER rear seat, and rear-facing as long as possible. The center seat is best since it will protect your child in a collision from the side. The rear-facing position is ideal since most collisions are happening frontal, and while you might merely get some whiplash, a forward-facing child might occur spinal injury causing death. As a result, I would not recommend any car seat but the Britax or Sunshine Radian seats.

Summary: Good car seat but the item looks like an open-box 2008-11-21
Comment: Sold by Amazon.com, listed as brand new item. Thing is the car seat looks like an open-box item. It is simply put in the box without any protection or any plastic wrap. Anyway, my daughter seems enjoy her new car seat.

Summary: Excellent car seat! 2008-09-30
Comment: I just bought this car seat a few weeks ago from Amazon and I love it. Originally I bought the Graco Nautilus car seat because of all the great reviews. It had a lot of nice features, but my little boy just didn't like it. He cried every time he got in it. With this car seat it is so comfy and roomy for him and he really likes riding in it. It sits higher than other car seats so he can see out of the window better and there is a lot of padding to make it comfortable. It also has sides that he can lean his head on easily to go to sleep. I don't have the latch system in my car, but it was very easy to install and very stable. I also really love the color. It is very neutral and looks even better than the picture. The cover comes off very easily to wash. Overall I think this carseat is wonderful and I highly recommend it.

Summary: Great, Basic Carseat 2008-09-28
Comment: I am a Graco fan and have Graco everything. I have 3 kids and I trust Graco for products that are affordable and durable. This carseat is just that - it's your basic, durable, Graco car seat. My last one that was just like this lasted 5 years, so I'm expecting the same out of this one. I was nervous as I looked at the picture before I ordered it because I felt like the material looked a little cheap, however, when it got here I realized that it was of much better quality than it looked. I definitely recommend this car seat. In fact, I purchased 2 of these - 1 for my 1 year old, and the other for my 3 year old.

Summary: Durable, attractive and user friendly 2008-09-21
Comment: I have used this product in 2 different models for my two sons. We have one in each of our cars and even one in Grandma's. The seat is easy to operate, easy to install and quite user friendly. It is sturdy and worth the extra $$$ over the low end brands. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of the more expensive brands but I haven't missed them and have actually enjoyed the easier entry/exit this affords after helping other people load their kids into the bulkier competitor models.
