The first thing to note about Graco's pack `n play is that it is larger than many playards. This colorful, mesh-sided pen unfolds to a 38" x 38" square, rather than the rectangular shape of most others on the market. While this equates to needing more space, it also means that baby is provided with a bigger (and sturdier) area to play in. The playard's stability comes from a four-footed metal frame, which-along with the four corner feet-gives it eight points of contact with the ground.  | | The included bag makes storing and carrying easy. | Setup takes one person only minutes, from snapping the frame in place to securing the rigid, padded-top floor (cutely decorated with a fun bug pattern) with the Velcro fasteners. Breaking it down again is just as simple, and there is a convenient nylon storage/carrying bag included for easy portability. Bundled up, the pack `n play measures a compact 38 inches long by 10 inches square, but at nearly 24 pounds, it might be heavier than expected. Baby will appreciate the extra space, the friendly bug motif, being able to see mom and dad through the soft mesh walls, and the four interactive toys-one on each side. There's a sun with a mirror at its center, teaching baby self-awareness. The ladybug's body houses a squeak toy. Show them how to beep it to teach ear, eye, and hand coordination. This Playard is just outstanding. Who needs all the other multiple devices hanging on the sides getting in the way. WE bought this for our twin grandchildren visits to sleep in. It sets up in seconds, is light weight and puts away in a small closet when finished.
My wife searched for hours through all the complicated Playards to find this finally at Amazon.com. It's like the one's we had for our kids and proves that simple is better and can't be improved on.

Summary: Great Playpen but... 2008-04-24
Comment: We bought this when my son was only a few months old. He's now 11 months and we get a fair amount of use out of it as a playpen. It's a roomy place to put your child when you need to keep them "contained." He's loves to cruise around in it and smack the built-in rattle bug. It's not great for sleeping, though. Because of all the fun little critters on the four sides, it can be a bit noisy. It folds up fast and set-up is a breeze, so I give it 4 stars for that. It is a little on the heavy side at around 30 lbs., and not the ideal portable crib. With all the stuff parents already have to lug around for their babies, I think that one of the smaller pack n plays would be better, which is why we are getting one of those, too. This one is fabulous as a fixed playpen or for trips in the car. If you're flying, buy something smaller.

Summary: Biggest Playpen Ever 2008-04-23
Comment: I had been hunting for a large playpen from Babies-R-Us, Target, etc., never finding anything big enough. The only ones I could find were ones meant for sleeping and not much else. I was so excited when I found this one! When it arrived I was happily surprised that is was even bigger than I hoped. My daughter can easily play in this play pen with tons of her toys and there's still plenty of room for her to move around. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a safe place for their young toddler to play without getting into trouble when you turn your back to do something else for 2 seconds!

Comment: We bought this pack n play when our original one broke one time we were folding (trying to fold) it up. We didn't want the whole changing table portion, since our daughter is 1 now and is too big for that whole part.
Boy were we impressed!!
This pack n play is HUGE! It lets our little cruiser move around inside while keeping her safe so that I can work in the house. She loves all the toys on the sides and all the colors on the mat. She hates that she can't easily climb the sides of it.
Folding and opening this pack n play are a breeze! Whatever you read about how easy this is to fold and open...believe it. I was nervous after how difficult our other one was to put away or assemble - but this one is amazing!
Great product - no complaints!

Comment: We are very happy with this purchase. Amazon's price with free shipping was better than other places we looked. This play pen is a good size for us. Our six month old has plenty of room to move around and it doesn't take up too much space in our condo. Our daughter likes the brightly colored bugs on the sides of the play pen. She seems particularly attracted to the crackly sound the butterfly's wings make when she plays with them.
