Summary: Works GREAT 2008-05-23
Comment: This product works great. The closet doors barely even wiggle. My daughter can not budge them at all. We placed it at the top of the doors and it worked, but did not work as well as we wanted. We moved it to the middle of the doors and it works wonderfully.

Summary: Measure carefully! 2007-10-12
Comment: We have had these locks for over a year, and it is just now wearing out. If you have more than a 1/2 inch gap in between your closet doors, these may not work for you. We have vinyl-over-wood (so it looks like fake wood) closet doors and it sticks great, be sure to clean the area thoroughly like the instructions say, and our adhesive worked well. But my son never forcefully tried to open the door, he tried a couple of times, and gave up. We are only now having to replace it because the plastic wing has broken off, but it's after over a year of heavy use! I'm willing to pay $3 more bucks for that long of wear!

Summary: this safety lock doesn't work 2007-08-11
Comment: This lock does not work at all.My 22 month old daughter still got into the closet. She pulls the door out and slides it open.I think the wings on the lock should come out a few more inches so she wouldn't be able to pull it out and slide it open.I wouldn't purchase it or waste my money.

Summary: Work well for my purpose 2007-05-23
Comment: I can rate this product high because it serves the purpose in which I intended to use it. I wish I can say how well it works to keep babies or small children out of the closets but I can't. The purpose of these items are to keep my cats our of the closets. Yes, my cats are capable of opening the wooden closet doors and like to sleep or hide in there. Unfortunately, they leave hair everywhere inside and on my clothes. One cat became ill with stomach problems and left a mess on the floor and near my dress shoes. Therefore, I had to put a stop to this soon. I then found these locks which stick very very well and are currently going strong after a month or so since I purchased them. Therefore, even if you don't have small children to keep safe, you can also use these for your pets. I love the locks...and of course, my pets.
