Summary: Not great - too hot 2008-07-15
Comment: We tried this one, but it was just too hot for where we live. We liked the design of the Halo sleepsack much better - and the Halo type is better for the deep south where it is so hot so much of the year. This just isn't a quality product in my opinion.

Summary: Compact & easy to carry 2008-06-25
Comment: My baby simply loves this step 1 float. It is easy to use & compact to carry around. Suitable for 8 or 9mths & above.

Summary: Good product but.... 2008-05-22
Comment: Yes, it's a good product, a great alternative to a blanket, but I should've gotten it in cotton material (not microfleece). Baby gets too warm at times.

Summary: MUCH better than the Halo 2008-04-08
Comment: This is a great product, much cheaper and more useful than the Halo sleep sacks that most people buy. The Halo is sleeveless, so unless you live in a warm climate, you must dress your baby in a long-sleeved onesie underneath it. I had to add a cardigan, too, which seemed silly. The long sleeves on the Kiddopotamus, by contrast, keep him nice and warm.
Small detail, too: the Kiddopotamus has a fixed zipper and the Halo doesn't, so you have to futz with the Halo zipper in the middle of the night for diaper changes. The Kiddopotamus is much easier.
It's cheaper, too. We bought three and gave away our Halos.

Summary: Zipper Cover Could Be Better 2008-03-29
Comment: This sleep sack overall is great. The large size is plenty big and works for our 6 month by rolling up the sleeves. The fleece is good quality and a nice weight for over a sleeper. My only compliant is that the zipper cover at the top doesn't cover very well. You really have to be diligent and be certain that the triangle piece of fleece covers the top of the zipper completely. This takes a little tugging, which can be disturbing for a sleepy baby. One night we thought we had the zipper covered but discovered the next morning that we hadn't because there were tiny scratches all over our baby's chin. We haven't had the problem again since, but it's something we check every night.
