The slick, easy-to-fold design makes it ideal for storage and use anytime. View larger. | Safe, Comfortable Bedtime on the Go The PeaPod P100 is a lightweight sleeping tent, which comes with an inflatable air mattress to keep your baby's bedtime comfortable. An air pump is included. The mattress fits snugly inside the sleeping tent "pod," which features a wraparound mesh canopy with a wide, zippered opening to give parents quick and easy access. Baby can nap in comfort outdoors, thanks to the canopy's UV protection and to a wide windscreen. The pod also includes a washable sleeping bag that can double as a sleeping pad. Travel Light The last thing you need while you're traveling with a baby is to lug a lot of extra luggage around. Rather than packing a Pack'n'Play or a folding bassinet, which are cumbersome and heavy, simply pack the ultra-light, super-compact PeaPod away in your suitcase. At 14 x 5 x 14 inches (LxWxH) when closed, it takes up little space, and it comes with a carrying case for easy portability. And at 48 x 30 x 18 inches (LxWxH) when open, the PeaPod will take up little space once you reach your destination. The PeaPod is also designed to open and fold shut quickly and easily. Other than the included air pump for quickly inflating the small mattress, no tools are needed: simply follow the directions to "snap" it into its standing position, and fold it back down quickly when finished. So whether you're traveling across the country, making a weekend trip to the beach, or simply spending the day at a friend's house, the PeaPod Portable Travel Bed makes it super-easy and convenient for baby to sleep comfortably and safely while on the go.

Summary: awesome 2008-07-17
Comment: i love this tent so does my 2 month old. we use it at the beach it has uv screen but i always put a sarong over it and he loves laying it and being able to see everything. I love how it pops open good for moms who typical find themselves with one free arm. Great at the beach because i can just pop it open put him in it and set up the umbrella and get everything situated while i know he's in the shade. very lightweight.

Summary: Great Product Easy to Use 2008-07-12
Comment: I bought this with a little hesitancy based on some reviews I read, but I am so glad that I did! I've traveled with it across the country and it is a GREAT light, compact, alternative to the playpen. I used it for my 2 month old baby and she was happy and safe in it. We have since used it at the beach and b/c it is lower to the ground (not the height of other tents) it had no problem with the wind. Easy to use, I've set it up and put it away VERY easily in just a matter of seconds many times and it is durable too. Great buy!

Summary: Excellent product! 2008-07-08
Comment: We purchased the Peapod because we were traveling on a plane to visit family and didn't want to lug around the pack 'n play. Our 7 month old son slept perfectly in the tent. We chose not to bring along any of the accessories (the air mattress, the pump, the inside pad, or the carrying bag). We just laid a blanket on the floor and set the tent on top of it. Our son slept his usual 11 hours straight in it. Since it folds down flat it fit in our luggage easily. I'm so glad we now have this on hand for other uses!

Summary: Scary Infant DeathTrap - DO NOT BUY THIS! 2008-06-28
Comment: After reading several reviews and finding that the most common complaint was in getting it folded after opening it, I felt up to the challenge b/c everything else sounded perfect for our upcoming travels.
First, when we received the product, the company (Baby Age) from which it came did not bother to box it in anything other than it's own manufacturer's box. Apparently from their warehouse to my home was a rough journey. It was so mangled I had to send it back for a new one. I requested that they package it properly for round two. It too arrived the same way without a box but b/c we were so pressed to have a place to put our 8 month for our trip two days later we opened the mangled box in hopes it was not damaged.
It appeared to be functional. We opened it slowly (if you don't then it will pop open and potentially perplex anyone who may have to fold it back up). We then folded it with no problem at all. Then we decided to do a dry run to see if our 8 month old would find comfort in it. About 1 minute after I put him in there, I watched him move around (as infants often do) and his face ended up pressed against the non-breathable solid nylon material that is the perimeter of the tent. I put my nose and mouth against this material and could not breath at all.
I am truly sorry to say that I could not imagine allowing my baby to sleep in this potential SIDS tent. He could simply roll over, fall into a deep sleep with his face against the side and that would be that. Also, when you unzip the mesh "windows", the fabric, even when rolled up and stowed, does not prevent the solid nylon walls from falling down over the bed. HORRIFYING.
The designer/manufacturer would have been wise to make the walls of this product ALL mesh.
Needless to say, we sent this one back too, for both mishandling and money NOT well spent. It is probably clear that I would not recommend this to anyone for any reason. It is simply scary. Our baby ended up in a borrowed hotel crib at our travel destination.

Summary: for small childern only 2008-06-21
Comment: I was excited about this unique bed for traveling options. I didn't realize it would be so small and confining. My 2 yo might be able to sleep in there but I will be using it for my younger child and hopefully it will last longer.
I am not having any trouble folding it up and putting it back into the carrier.
