Product Description

Peg Perego 2006 Aria Stroller Perhaps the greatest attribute of the Peg Perego Aria Stroller is its lightweight frame. It is one of the lightest strollers on the market, but boasts as many features as a stroller twice its size. Consumers have come to realize that a Peg Perego stroller is one of the top products in the juvenile market. The Aria stroller fits into the Peg family with its fashion forward design and safe features. With the Peg Perego Aria Stroller it is difficult to overlook the standard safety features such as a harness which can convert form 3 to 5 point, all wheel suspension and independent rear brakes. The stroller from Peg Perego has basket large enough to store a diaper bag, baby clothing or an adult sized jacket. The other key feature on the Peg Perego baby stroller is the compact fold. All it takes is the pulling up on two tabs on the stroller's side and pushing down. The baby stroller folds compactly and is easy to transport with a simple side carry handle. The Aria stroller is certainly for the trendy baby and fashion forward parent. It is designed to meet all of the safety and comfort needs, but doesn't compromise on its aesthetic appeal. The Peg Perego Aria Stroller is for families who know high fashioned strollers.

Summary: Lightweight indeed! 2007-08-28
Comment: I have become more and more frustrated with my Aria stroller in the past year and a half that I have used it. Like others have said, it steers poorly and is impossible to push with one hand. Bumps are tough on it and so are curbs and tight turns. The cup holder has broken for the second time in one year. The screws come out of the cup holder, the cheap plastic has cracked now it no longer stays in the up position - rather useless indeed. Also, the small plastic piece that is at the end of the recline adjustment straps also fell off and the sun shade barely covers my child's face in the bright sun. But I did purchase it for its lightweightedness and therein lies its only redeeming quality. Too bad, because not only was it expensive, but I purchased it on the Peg reputation.

Summary: LOVE IT! 2007-06-20
Comment: I bought this stroller as a spare to keep at grandma's house. I loved it so much I wanted to bring it home with me. It is super light weight and it steers so great. I used it for 6 weeks straight and never once had a problem with it. I see other people were not as thrilled with this stroller, but I have not had any problems with it. It practically strolls itself. My daughter loved it as well, the seat seemed very comfortable, has a nice recliine as well. I also like that when it is folded it up it locks into place and can stand up itself, you don't have to lean it up against something. I took it on walks around the neighborhood that has a lot of hills, on dirt paths and in the mall. it maneuvered very well. I would highly recommend.

Summary: Buy a Metrolite, a Chicco, a Jeep...anyting else! 2006-12-06
Comment: I could not be more disappointed with my new single Aria. It is EXTREMELY DIFFICULT TO PUSH. It makes little difference whether my 18 pound daughter or 30 pound son is in it, it is impossible to steer with one hand, and often difficult to steer with both hands. It frequently requires lifting up the front end off the ground entirely to change directions. I have lived with it for a couple of weeks, hoping that it was just "tight" and would loosen up, but there has been no change and I am becoming more and more frustrated with it and really regretting my purchase and trust in Peg Perego's reputation for excellent baby products. The only time it lives up to the possibly inflated reputation of Peg Perego is when we are rolling straight forward. Any effort to turn or adjust directions is just that, an effort.

I have owned 3 other strollers in my tenure as a mother so far: a Graco Metro Lite, a Chicco umbrella stroller and a Jeep double umbrella stroller. All three of these have been SIGNIFICANTLY easier to use. They have been nearly equal in ease of open/close mechanisms and have been much easier to push, turn and manuever, including my $79 double side-by-side Jeep stroller.

Moreover, the cup-holder on the Aria is useless. It is so narrow and close to the handle that it will not hold even a small cup (i.e. Tall Starbucks beverage) or sippy cup without risk of falling out.

Summary: Great Stroller! 2006-12-04
Comment: I read all the reviews and then still bought this stroller. I dont understand why people are having problems. It took about 60 seconds to put together out of the box. When I first tried to move it. The wheels stuck and it wouldnt turn - Then I noticed each wheel has a wheel lock, once I unlocked the wheels (flick of a switch). The stroller was extremely easy to push and maneuver - even with one hand. The basket is able to hold my similac diaper bag, purse and a small shopping bag. The recline is easy to move up and down to whatever level you like. The table and cup holder are an added bonus. The best part of course is that it is so light weight. We got the Rose which is beautiful and the Rubino was also very attractive at the store. Great for the price - we paid $119.

Summary: Read customers' reviews first!! 2006-11-11
Comment: Believe in reviews!! I read about customers' reviews after buying this stroller. I thought about return it because most of the reviews were not so good. I regret I did not upgrade to another one. I hate it! First of all, it's hard to lock the car seat in place. This drives me crazy. Second, it is alright when you go straight. But when you make turns, it just doesn't turn the way you want, especially in small passege way in restaurants or stores. The only advantage is it is light weighted.
