Summary: A very good full-size stroller 2008-10-31
Comment: First, let me just say that I am one of those people that bought this stroller before knowing what I really wanted. After our child was born, I started having buyer's remorse and started envying all the others with the newer, aluminum-framing type strollers like the Bugaboo.

I'm outlining my experience in trying to replace the Uno with the Bugaboo(-like) strollers:

Micralite Toro
pros: light, great maneuverability, adjustable handle
cons: you need an allen wrench to switch handle height (are you kidding me????), the cargo space is a joke

UPPABaby Vista
pros: maneuvers well, great canopy, wonderful cargo space, adjustable handle
cons: heavier than Bugaboo at 24 lbs; extra widened base so you will have a hard time fitting through doors (dumb design... bad QA)

Bugaboo Bee
pros: maneuvers well, canopy ok, cargo space ok, adjustable handle
cons: you have to buy all the extras like a cupholder; to switch to reverse, you have to lift the seat out and reverse the position i.e. it's not the handle that reverses, weight limit: only 37.5 lbs

Quinny Buzz 4
pros: folds compact but not as compact as Zapp, all the pros of Bee
cons: footprint big, i mean big, it is not a compact stroller, it does not come with a cupholder (i think)

So why did I bother to check out the others?

Well, I wanted to see why I had envy. And after all the search, the reality is Uno is one of the best strollers out there. I think people tend to get the aluminum framing type because it's trendy and it's in the now. But if you look at the features side-by-side, Uno wins. Here's why:

pros
reversible handle: you don't have to lift the seat to change the orientation of the child. 2 seconds and either the child faces you or outward

cargo space: GREAT cargo space, spring-loaded so you can press down and get whatever. With the others, it's hard to get to the cargo depending on the seat's recline angle.

wheels: small wheels in front, big wheels in the back, maneuvers extremely well, the wheels don't have as much drag so you can push this with your finger

handlebar: adjustable handlebar, one of the best ranges of adjustability; I'm 4'11" and my husband is 5'10" and we both can push this comfortably

brakes: single, one-hand handlebar braking, very responsive

canopy: generous, you will not need to buy an extender

comes with extras: it has the built-in bassinet feature so if your little one falls asleep, just recline to the lowest (almost flat) position, raise the leg support, put the boot (boot is standard, comes with purchase) and voila! instant bassinet, bar/tray is wide and good for extra container for toys and food

weight: 19 pounds. You will have a hard time finding something with all these comparable features for same or less weight.

reclination: Because you can adjust the leg/foot rest and the back to almost flat, and because it has coverage on the side, you can actually change the baby when you need to right there and then. We have done it a couple of times and it is more convenient than looking for a changing room.

It looks big. But if you measure the actual footprint, this stroller has the same or less footprint than the others. It does not have the Bugaboo look and if that's what you are looking for then this stroller is not for you. But if you are looking for a stroller with A+ luxury stroller features that come standard, with comfortable seating for the little one, comfort for you and all for less than Bugaboo pricing, I highly recommend this product.

Summary: Bad Experience 2008-07-28
Comment: Turning this stroller is the worst, I literally have to lift the stroller into the air to make a turn. It is difficult to use the basket underneath when the stroller is in carriage position.
This stroller is also very heavy.
Besides those things the stroller has a nice appearance and love the reversible handles.

Summary: Perfect stroller/carriage 2008-03-24
Comment: I have this stroller for about a week now and it is perfect. It rides smoothly, and it has a lot of features. The color is very nice. It's good for a girl or a boy.
