Summary: Great product - others are not using it correctly 2008-07-07
Comment: This product does a great job. It helped me with my concern of putting my child on a dirty public toilet. As she was starting potty training, she would immediately reach down to grab the toilet seat and plus was unstable without a potty seat. The reviewers who gave a poor review for fit and pinching are not using it correctly. We have never had this problem. If you place the seat on the toilet as it is pictured on the box, then, it won't fold, pinch, or fall into the toilet. Allows you to go out with a portable potty seat. Gives you and your toddler confidence when out in public.

Summary: there are better portable potties out there 2008-06-30
Comment: I found that this potty was easy to unfold, but had gaps between where they pieces connect, making it very easy for a child to get pinched. Also, I put it on my toilet, and put a bit of weight on it, and it bowed easily, so I was very worried about putting my child on it. Especially since I had gone back and read other negative reveiws on it. We ended up getting a regular potty seat and putting it in the car. It fits in the bottom of the stroller, so I always have it with me.

Summary: Great item. We used it for our first child, now using it for our 2nd. 2008-06-04
Comment: This item works great - turns a big toilet seat into one little enough for a 2 year old bottom. folds small enough to carry around comfortably. I live in Manhattan and keep it in my stroller basket all day for use as we travel around the city. They like to sit on it and hold the handles.
One reviewer said that the potty seat doesn't sit correctly on the average toilet. Not true. I'm guessing novices use it wrong - there's a little overhang lip on the front of the seat with non-skid pads which if you don't make the lip overhang the toilet, will mess up the seat's positioning. You have to make sure those are IN FRONT of the toilet seat, not ON TOP of it.

Summary: Very lightweight and compact 2008-06-01
Comment: My 20 month old daughter has been using this seat for the past couple of months and hasn't had any problems. I liked the fact that there are handles so that she doesn't have to hold on to the toilet, and it fits ALL toilets, even the oval ones. There's a picture of the proper use on the front of the box...position the seat on the front of the toilet so that the "lip" of the seat rests against the front of the toilet. The only thing I would change is that they would offer it in a bright color so that I won't leave it behind. Otherwise, it's a great product!
