For Home, Office and Industrial Uses: for Childproofing Hearths and Employee Protection from Sharp Edges Safe Edge Hearth Guard Pads provide fire-resistant, non-toxic, dense, impact absorbent padding to prevent injuries from falls against sharp corners and edges of hearths. Adaptable to hearths with two, one, or no corners. Brown or gray pads blend with most brick, stone, marble, and slate surfaces. Available in 4 foot or 8 foot lengths. Features: Fire-resistant: pads will smolder, not burn. Non-toxic. For home, work or industrial setting. Dense, impact absorbent. Brown, gray, black or ivory. All sections can be cut to size. From the side, the unit resembles an in.L in.. 3 in. lip fits on top of the hearth and a 3 in. inch lip extends down hearth side for added protection. Each Kit includes: Center pad, two corners, and double-sided Velcro tape. For irregularly shaped hearths, mold Hearth Guard to the hearth edge (some clipping may be required to curve material) and adhere with Velcro. Easy, Simple Installation: Unpack: Uncoil center pad and lay on a flat surface. Position and Trim Corners: For hearths less than 11 feet long, position corners so short side is along the front of the hearth. For hearths 11 feet or longer, put long side along the front of the hearth. If necessary to trim corners, place corners on box and use a sharp knife lubricated with soapy water. Cut Center Pad: Use knife lubricated with soapy water to cut pad to fit in middle section. Remove soap residue, dry pad, then continue installation. Join Center Pad and Corners: Remove Corners from Hearth. Place upside down with center pad in middle. Use plastic frames and align corners with middle section and overlap. Peel adhesive paper from backing and press firmly into pad. Place on Hearth: Use Velcro for secure attachment. Allow time for adhesive to set before pulling on pad Note: Extra pad can be used to cover vertical corners. Colored tape (nearly the same color) is provided to place under
