Summary: Don't buy Mam bottles! 2008-07-08
Comment: I bought the MAM bottles because they were BPA free. I also bought them despite the reviews that said they could be difficult to assemble, had many parts, and could leak frequently. I thought, "How hard could it be to assemble a bottle correctly???" Apparently it takes more than a college degree to get them assembled correctly every time, and I am sick and tired of the surprise drenching we get from time to time. You put them together and hope against hope that this won't be the 2 a.m. feeding where you end up changing your half awake baby (turned wet,screaming, and totally alert baby) and yourself because some seal wasn't completely lined up appropriately. I hate these bottles! The 5 separate parts (6 if you count the lid) do make more work for washing, and the individual parts are such large and awkward sizes that there's no convenient way to arrange them in the dishwasher or to store later. Evenflo makes an inexpensive, cute, and BPA free bottle that is normal, functional, and doesn't leak. MAM shouldn't have reinvented the wheel.

Comment: Like these bottles though I have only been able to get the venting sound to happen once. The best part about these bottles are the nipple shape. They are the closest match to my nipples. No nipple confusion. Yes, there are a lot of parts to clean, but we have had these bottles for over a month (my daughter is now 4 months) and it only leaked once when my husband hadn't screwed the bottom on tight after washing and I didn't pay attention and poured breastmilk in. Caught the leaking quick and that is the only time it has been an issue. Don't know why others have said they are hard to assemble. They aren't. The colors are cute and I love that they are made of safer plastic. The colors are much cuter in person than shown in the photos. Wish all 3 were pink! I will buy more as I really like these and so does my baby girl.

Comment: Bottles work great. Baby suckles these nipples just fine, as they're more contoured like the real thing. The venting design is ingenious-so she doesn't suck in air. Minimal burping after using these bottles. But be careful that the bottom is screwed on all the way. Very cute design! And easy to clean since it all comes apart. Highly recommend.

Summary: Perfect for breastfed babies 2008-06-13
Comment: My daughter is primarily breastfed and prefers nursing to the bottle. Unfortunately, I had to go back to work sometime. So, these bottles are great. They're the closest thing I've found to the breast and the ONLY bottle my daughter will take without having a total meltdown. I nurse when I can but these are great for Dad to do a feeding or when we're in public. The downside is you must be careful when you're screwing on the bottoms or you'll end up with a lapful of milk.

Summary: Best Bottles. Period. 2008-06-09
Comment: We use the Sassy MAM bottles. I researched each brand of bottles and found that these were the best for us for many reasons. First, my daughter is breastfed and the breast-like nipple made it easy (as in no problems whatsoever) to transfer from the breast to the bottle and back. It made my transition to work much easier. Second, they do not contain BPA. If you have the choice to use bottles with BPA or BPA free, why not choose BPA free just to be safe? Third, they are reasonably priced in my opinion. The bottles have not warped or show any signs of usage. Moreover, each piece comes apart to ensure that you can get the bottle clean.
I definately recommend these bottles! The only con I can think of is that they are hard to find. I need to get new nipples for the bottles and cannot find them.
