Summary: I love it!!! 2005-05-10
Comment: I have tried several of the blockhead bath products, (I just got them for my mom for mother's day and we had fun trying them out), and the lotion sticks are my favorite!!! While all the scents are wonderful, my mom and I have searched long and hard for something that truly smells like rain and this does- :)
It's soft and smooth to put on, and I have not had any problems with the package. I love that I can toss this in a purse, even a small one, and have it handy. It absorbs quick and the moisture & scent last quite a bit too so I don't have to constantly re-apply.
I am hooked!

Summary: Easy to use if you're on the go! 2004-12-24
Comment: Unlike the previous reviewer, I haven't had any problems with the packaging. It's very simple to use. With one year old twins, I have to constantly wash my hands and find them dry and cracking. This solid lotion bar is SO convenient. I have one at home and one in my purse, so the bar is accessible anytime. The smell may be strong for some but I like it. I look forward to trying the Blockhead baby version on my twin babes.

Summary: smells divine, but packaging could use some improvement 2004-11-15
Comment: This is a perfect little item to toss in a purse. The solid stick of lotion (it feels more like a light massage oil than a lotion when on) absorbs quickly and goes on like using a deodorant stick on your hands. The scent of the Hamptons Hideaway is terrific--sea breeze mixed with florals that zing with a pleasant and refreshing wave, yet doesn't compete with any other scent you may be wearing. The product is great for work too--you don't have to wait long for it to absorb before resuming work.
My main complaint with this product is the packaging. The "stick" of lotion works not unlike a twist up/push up deodorant stick pillar. After using the product for two weeks without any problems, the pillar of lotion popped out and onto my lap, leaving an oily smear on my clothes. This stain required several spot cleaning attempts to remove. This experience is the equivalent of the "messy lotion spill" this product claims to avoid. After the pillar popped out, I've had to hold it in place each time I want to use it--this is hard to do when you're trying to apply lotion to one of your hands!
Despite the irritation and inconvinience of the packaging mishap, this product is really nice--the smell, the texture and the long-lasting effects on my hands is very nice. Perhaps they can just fix the packaging now and they'll have a better product.
