Summary: let down 2005-12-29
Comment: I hate to say it, but the other reviews are pretty much right. My daughter does like this toy better then the penguin tub toy we got her, but both have been a let down. She doesn't really play with it. The water has to be really high in the tub for the hippos to twirl. We don't fill the tub too high for her because she is only 20 months old and likes to splash too. Not a great toy. I am still looking for a good bath play toy for her.

Comment: this was a horrible playgroup purchase. the kids in our playgroup just walked over this in the pool and it wouldn't stay upright.

Summary: A Hippo of a Disappointment!!! 2004-10-20
Comment: I purchased this toy for my two year-old son as he is a bath time fun connoisseur. He wanted to play with it however, it would not remain upright in the water. If it actually had the potential to stay erect, it really wouldn't have made much difference as it promotes instant apathy. When I purchased this toy it retailed for $9.99 this is quite a bit of money for something whose only ability is to try to spin in circles while laying on its side in the water. Save yourself the circle from the toy store and back to return this item.

Comment: my daughter received this for her 2nd birthday and was not at all interested in it. It didn't stand upright and it just wasn't very much fun!
