STOKKE® CARE™ is height adjustable with two different working levels to fit any size user. With less bending over, you reduce the strain on your back and shoulders, and also have better control of the always active child. STOKKE® CARE™ will also adjust as your child grows. As your baby grows out of the changing unit, STOKKE® CARE™ can be converted into a small desk (using the STOKKE® CARE™ Student Desk Expansion Kit, sold seperately). The desk shape and size is ideal for two children to play games on, paint or draw. Later, STOKKE® CARE™ can also be used as a bookshelf, CD rack, TV table or a combination of them all.STOKKE® CARE™ comes with two plastic storage containers, perfect for diapers, lotions, cloths, powder and other necessities. The mattress is made of polyurethane foam and has an acrylic-coated cotton textile that is water repellent. 29.7"W x 29.9"L x 41.8"H.

Summary: A very helpful table 2008-05-21
Comment: We've been using this table for about 2 months, and it is awesome. The shape is neat but also functional. Since there are no cabinets, everything is open and easily available, which is a necessary convenience for this kind of furniture.
Yes, it's expensive, but baby stuff usually is. At least this doesn't look like crap, too. If you haven't realized this yet, I'll let you in on a dirty little secret: no matter how fashion-forward your design sense has been until now, your home is going to be filled with lots of aesthetically displeasing furniture--have you seen some of the cribs out there? The Stokke Care is not only useful, it's also good-looking, which is a rarity in the baby stuff world. Just because you're becoming a parent doesn't mean you can't have cool-looking stuff anymore. So splurge.
Have I said how convenient it is? Only a few times? Trust me, when you're trying to clean a squirming infant who's suddenly shot out a fresh stream of poop/pee, you'll appreciate not having to pull open a cabinet to get to fresh wipes, a new diaper, or a change of clothes.
I definitely recommend getting the Huggies disposable changing pads (they sell them near checkout at Babys r Us) and laying them on top of the pad. Accidents WILL happen, and having to pop the cushion into the laundry won't help your mood any.

Comment: Have this table for the past 6 months now and really love it. Fully functional, well built. only "downside" is that our future football player is getting too big/tall for the table... Other than that: Excellent product!

Comment: Words cannot really describe how fabulous and functional this changing table is....
I first saw this table in a store and both my husband and I thought it was really ugly and huge. We thought the fact that you can change your baby facing in front of you instead of facing to the side was wonderful though. We left the store deciding to look elsewhere for a changing table.
As the weeks went on though I couldn't get the changing table out of my head and it went from being an ugly large changing table to being a beautifully designed and functional masterpiece. We ended up buying it.
Now that we have it in our nursery it is my most loved piece of furniture (and I have some nice pieces). I rave constantly about it - from its roomy changing area to its highly functional side containers which allow you to stock everything you need for your baby at hands length. The shelves are huge and you can stuff things at the back of each shelf that you may not need right away or often and only keep what you need handy at the front. I even have a hamper tied to the side as the table comes with rails.
I LOVE LOVE LOVE this table and I love Stokke because we have the crib too and they are both great. Definately recommend it - 5 stars!!!
