Summary: Good, not perfect 2008-07-28
Comment: Initially, the activity ring is a bit difficult. It does require two hands, which is definitely not convenient. The toys are interesting, however the ladybug-mirror is not designed well. Little fingers can get squeezed between the turning ladybug and the holder. All in all, my grandson enjoys sitting in this chair (on the floor) when I feed him, but it's not really worthwhile for anything other than a temporary seat for short-term play/feeding.

Summary: Great item for baby 2008-07-16
Comment: Highly recommended! I bought this item when my daughter started getting sick of lying down on her back. At the time when purchased, I was trying between the Bumbo seat & Bebe Pods. There were plenty of reviews on the Bumbo seat and Bebe Pod, but they weren't very helpful for me because people either Loved their Bumbo or Bebe Pod, or hated it ~ there was no gray area.
Then I came across this item, but there weren't any reviews on it! I googled this seat to see what I could come up with and 1 person had reviewed it on another site. They said it replaced their Bumbo & Bebe Pod, plus she loved that it was a 3 stage deal.
Well that review sold me on this item. I've had it for about 6 weeks now ~ I started my daughter on it when she was 3 months. I really love it. Here are some excellent feature points:
1) The seat is very sturdy and supported ~ you can strap the baby in if you want. But when I have the tray around baby, I usually don't strap her in; I just don't see the point when she's surrounded by the tray and can't go anywhere! Seat also came with straps to use when you're ready for the booster seat function. I haven't used it as a booster seat yet.
2) The tray is easy to remove & to put around baby. Most the time I don't even remove the tray, I can just slide baby in and out without much trouble. The tray swivels around the seat. There are places for drink cups. The toys that came with it are great because they are snapped in place ~ I don't have to worry about losing them or baby knocking them lose.
3) When the tray is removed, there is no worries about the seat being unsteady. Seat is sturdy on a platform. The only problem I foresee, is when I want to use the seat as a booster, you have to use a screw driver to remove the platform ~ it won't be so easy to interchange from a booster to a play toy.
All in all, this is a great item. It was the same price as the Bumbo Seat and Bebe pod. I feel this seat has more to offer than it's competition!

Summary: SO much better than a bumbo! 2008-06-21
Comment: I came across this seat while investigating Bumbo's. I was amazed, and wondered why so many people buy Bumbo's and Bebe Pod's when this is available! It's pretty much the same price and is SO much more versatile, I can't see one advantage to buying the Bumbo instead of this product.
I bought this when baby was about 3 1/2 months. At that time, he could barely sit up, but he loved getting the opportunity! At six months, he is still using it, plays with the toys, and has an all-around good time.
Here's why this is better than the Bumbo:
1. The Bumbo can be used for a very short time. If you read reviews, you'll see the #1 complaint is that the leg holes are too small, so baby gets very limited use out of it. But, on this product, it has two layers. Leave the yellow layer in when the baby is small, and if he grows to where the holes are too small, remove the yellow layer and you've got a seat for a few more months.
2. Once the baby is no longer entertained just by sitting, you can install the play tray. There are four toys and two snack trays. The toys are not all that inventive, but for a young baby they are sufficient to entertain them.
3. Once the baby is ready to sit up at the table, you can use the seat as a booster seat. We haven't gotten to this point yet. The Bumbo cannot be put on elevated surfaces, so this is another use you get out of the Super Seat that you can't get on the Bumbo.
I gave this product four stars because there are a few flaws.
1. The tray is really a little too difficult for a little one to move on their own. I've got to move the green tray around periodically so he can play with all the toys. I know it's possible to have a tray that's easier to move, because my son can move around his exersaucer quite easily.
2. There is a toy on the tray that is a mirror. It is really too small to serve it's designated purpose and it is a fairly cloudy mirror so it's hard to see a reflection. It's fairly useless beyond giving the baby something to spin around.
All around, this product is worth the money and a much better investment than the competitors. Also, since the colors are gender-neutral, you don't have to worry about buying a second one if a baby of the opposite gender joins your family next.

Summary: My daughter loves this!!! 2008-06-19
Comment: I bought this for my then 3 1/2 month old daughter. She always wanted to be sitting up even though she couldn't on her own. I can put her in here and she will sit for about half hour at a time. She can't play with the toys very well yet but just being able to sit up and look around keeps her occupied. I am so happy with this seat because I can get some stuff done around the house now and she can sit and watch. This is very portable and I take it all over. It goes outside with me to do yard work or in the kitchen to cook or the laundry room or anywhere. I read a lot of the reviews before I bought this and people said it was hard to put together and the tray doesn't slide well but I had it together in less than 10 minutes and the tray works great on mine. I didn't put the extra base pieces on yet because she's not big enough to tip it and it works great without them. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who would like their child to be entertained while they get some stuff done around the house.
