Radian is a Convertible Car Seat for rear-facing children 5 to 33 lbs. and forward-facing children up to 65 lbs in a 5-point harness. Maximum child height is 51 inches. It features a high-stength steel alloy frame and 5 harness slot positions that are all reinforced for forward-facing use. Includes SafeStop, which absorbs harness load energy in an accident. It's also the only car seat in the world that folds to just 7". Summary: 3 across, anyone? 2008-08-04
Comment: I nanny triplets and do not have 3rd row seating in my vehicle, I needed car seats that would fit 3-across. The Radians fit awesome! I have NEVER had any issues installing with a seatbelt, or LATCH, or in Toyotas. I love everything about the Radians. Plus they EXCEED safety standards.
Having car seats that will fit 3 across, allow me to practice extended rear-facing AND extended harnessing, that exceed standards....is priceless. I highly recommend.
**Also consider the "comfy-soft" infant insert that supports little ones to 30 lbs, then converts into a toddler pillow for big kids. It's like $17. So no real reason to whine about head support.

Comment: Awesome! This seat fits perfect!
I drive a Toyota RAV4 and will have three kids in the back seat, two in boosters and soon a baby in this one!! This seat requires just as much room reclining as any other convertible seat or even infant car seat. The base is narrower than on other seats. Took about 10-20 minutes to set up and install. The instructions were really easy to follow. I would definitely recommend it!!!!

Comment: Love these seats. I have 3 of them front facing in the back of a Sebring convertible. The middle uses the belt strap that comes with the seat.
