Summary: replacement lids? 2009-01-06
Comment: We love these cups. I've tried every type of sippy cup and these are our favorite because they're cheap and simple. However, my son tends to chew on the lid of sippy cups so I have to replace them often. I wish they sold replacement lids.

Summary: LOVE THEM 2008-12-15
Comment: These cups are great. They work well and are spill proof and they are so well priced that it's no big deal if you loose one or two.

Summary: Inexpensive Sippy Cups 2008-08-07
Comment: I found these sippy cups and they have served us well. When my children were infants we used the Gerber sippy cups which worked well but were really expensive. As my children got older but still not old enough to use a cup without spilling the contents, I switched to these.

They last with repeated use for several months then ours eventually develop a crack in them from my boys throwing them on the floor. I do hand wash mine even though they state top-rack dishwasher safe and I believe that helps them last a little longer. They will tend to leak a little if turned upside down and the tops will pop off occasionally. The valve-free design allows for a little leakage but also makes for much easier cleaning. My sons are at the age where we are transitioning them to regular cups and these are perfect for that in-between stage.

These are also labeled plastic type 5 which is polypropylene which is considered safe and does not leach BPA (bisphenol-A) into foods and beverages like some plastics can. That makes me feel better and sets my mind at ease about using these with my children.

These are cheap enough where I can keep extras in my car and diaper bag in case I need them on the run. The 7-oz size is perfect for smaller children and the 10-oz size is perfect for toddlers.

Summary: Good as a transitional cup 2008-05-05
Comment: My son stopped taking a bottle at 4months. After months of trial and error, we got him to drink out of this cup. Prior to this we have tried:
*Baby Einstein
*Munchkin's cups with straw
*Munchkin's sippy cup
*Munchkin's big kid's cups
*Munchkin's plastic cups similar to this one, but they are shaped more like a regular cup.

The pluses of this cup:
*Easy to clean
*Easy to drink from (I don't agree with the posts saying it is hard to sip from - it is pretty easy, but make sure the spout is not clogged)
*It is most spill proof in it's category (similar cups from other brands leaked much more than this one does)

The minuses
*If your baby likes to bite - the lid will not last long, at most 2-3 weeks (which is ok, given the price)
*Because of the shape of the spout, milk gathers up on the top, and as it dries, it clogs the holes, making it impossible to get anything out of it, even very hard to clean with a brush. So if your child goes to daycare, where they reuse same cup all day long - you need to let teachers know about this.
*if the cup is dropped, there is a good chance it will open, so what I did is - I bought a set of 8 Oz cups with the holders, and used them for these ones (they do match perfectly and hold the lid tightly)

Overall I gave these cups 4 stars, because after all they were the ones my son took after so much struggle (mostly because these are much easier to sip from and parent can also squeeze it a little, teaching a child where the milk comes from). Now that my son knows how these work, I'm looking for a better cup that is also easy to sip from, and that will not let milk dry up on top...

Summary: Sippy cup easy for baby to drink from 2008-01-03
Comment: This sippy cup is easy for baby to drink from. This and the Nuby Sippy cups are the only ones that my 12 mos son can manage to get drink from. However, my son tend to chew on the spout, so they will crack after extended use. Since these are suppose to be disposable and not very expensive, you are not suppose to expect them to last very long anyway.
