This Parents' Choice Classic Award Winner is that colossal maze of wood, beads, and wire often seen at the doctor's office. Beautifully crafted with a 12-by-15-inch solid wood base, thick sturdy wire, and wood beads, this winding wonder keeps little hands and minds busy for hours. The structure consists of five intertwined wires, securely attached at the wood base, adorned with free sliding beads of varied color, shape, size, and pattern. One wire reaches 21 inches at its peak, another makes a complete 360 degree loop. As the child slides beads across the tangle of wires, fine motor coordination and critical thinking skills are developed, as well as an understanding of both spatial relations and depth perception. Summary: Worth Every Dime 2008-05-06
Comment: My son and I were first exposed to the Original Rollercoaster at the doctor's office, and I was amazed (he was 12 months old at the time) how enthralled he was with it. My wife was in with her doctor for a good 40 minutes while we waited, and this toy kept him busy and captivated for the entire time.
While you may consider this toy a bit on the expensive side (I certainly did), know that it is very high quality, very durable, and -- in my opinion and that of my 15 month old son (and his mother) -- worth every dime. We both highly recommend it, and hope you have as much fun as we have had, continue to have, and plan to have as our 5 week old son becomes old enough to enjoy it too!

Summary: Health Services Children's Waiting Area 2008-01-02
Comment: This toy was bought at the request of the director of the Health Services Center to be used by the children in their waiting room. This was purchased by our office as a Holiday Project. We designed and decorated the children's area with rugs, tables and chairs, bookcases, books, toys, etc. Everything needed to keep the children distracted. The director asked for only four items: Table and chairs, rug, bookcases, and the original rollercoaster by Anatax. We gave them much more.

Summary: Fantastic! 2007-08-26
Comment: Sometimes, the most simple, classic toys are the best. This is one of them.
My daughter loves this toy! She drags it out of her room to play with it very frequently.
The wooden beads are painted with bright colors and the base is very sturdy.
This was one of the few toys we have bought her (and trust me, she has a LOT) that was worth every penny of the purchase price. Don't let this one pass you by!

Summary: Addictive! 2007-07-09
Comment: We have this toy in every one of our pediatric exam rooms! We had cheaper versions (not the original) that lasted about a year or so, before the wire pieces either came out of the wood or went right through the footing. This model so far appears much more durable and more entertaining. It is big, colorful, the dimensional design is challenging and engaging to almost every age group (including parents). It is easy to clean, heavy enough that younger ones could not lift it off the floor or pull on themshelves. It is also more affordable than the ones we looked at years ago. A great product!

Summary: Watch for weak beads that come off 2007-07-05
Comment: My 18 month old son loves this toy, and he plays with it all the time. One day he came to me with something in his mouth, and it turned out to be half of an orange bead that came off this toy. I recovered both halves of the broken bead, and expected to find two unpainted break areas on the inside of each half. Upon further inspection, I found that one side of the broken half was painted, which showed that there was a separation in the bead already when it was painted at the factory. I know it's hard to picture- but it's hard to describe. I would still recommend this product- just inspect it very carefully before you hand it over to your child. I'd hate to see a little one choke.
