Comment: In short, I've been using this product for the past two years and I love, love, LOVE it! It makes my curls feel so moist, and it is not sticky or crunchy when it dries. I finally broke down and ordered the 33 oz. Although I found it to be a little expensive for a hair care purchase, I found that I don't have to use it every day therefore I am certain that it will last me throughout the summer. I highly recommend it for people who want their curls to be soft, moist, frizz-free and natural-looking. The only other suggestion I have is to add a shine/finishing product on the hair when it finally dries just to give it some sheen, which this product does not provide. I use John Freda's Secret Weapon finishing creme ($5 at most drug stores) or SoSilk Silk Drops (about $10-12 here online and cool because it can be used on hair and skin- be careful b/c a little goes a long way with this product:). Just my suggestions...hope they help!

Comment: The search is over! I am in love with Mixed Chicks :). I am half Korean and African American and have been used to using a number of products on my hair to maintain my curls. The list includes, conditioner, some type of oil, and foaming gel or mouse....I hated the crunch but the oil and conditioner alone could not maintain my maine! it would get really big...well along came setting lotion. A very simple product but it gave me my desire curl look...so I had been satisfied....However, for my 15 month old, I had not had such luck. Unlike my straight thin hair at her age, her hair is full of 3 textures...the top is fine loose curls, the middle is a little coarser and curlier, and the back is full of tight little curls...needless to say i was at a lost for what to use on her hair...from birth I started using coconut oil (which was great), but now it just didnt quite cut it Then I tried Miss Jessie's products. While I see hope for that product in the future when her hair becomes fuller and longer, it wasn't right for it now...Well then along came mixed chicks...IT WAS PERFECT!!! It defined her curls and enhanced her curl pattern and it even gave it shine. Well when I saw how great it looked on my daughters hair I tried it on my own. I WAS SHOCKED!! First off my hair is very very long...like straighten it almost comes to my behind (and i am 5'11). Well all I did was add it after i shampooed my hair just to see what it would do...well after it dried it looked gorgeous....I didn't add a thing, no oil, no foam, no nothing! LOL....Just the leave in conditioner that is ALL!...While it didnt give me the serious curls like the setting lotion does, it gave me a great wavy curl pattern with shine and no crunchiness! Its a great everyday look for me! I am soooo happy I found this product!

Comment: I have loose, frizzy curls that tend to be on the dry side. I asked a fellow curly girl what she uses and she told me about this product. I had seen it advertised in a magazine as well. I was excited about this product, hoping it would moisturize my hair while giving me great frizz free curl. The product did an excellent job at reducing the frizz in my hair. Unfortunately, it also weighed down my curls. I normally go three days in between washes, but by day two, may hair needed to be washed again. I looked at the ingredients and assume that the wax is what weighs the frizz and the curl down. I have tried putting less product in my hair, but to no avail. I still end up with flat, although frizz-free, hair.

On another note, I bought this product from the Mixed Chics website. An ad in a magazine said I would get 10% off when entering a promotional code. There was no place to enter the promotional code, so I put it in the comments section. I never got my 10% discount.

Comment: My 2 year old daughter is biracial and has very curly hair. I have tried all sorts of products on her hair to keep it healthy looking and not dry and frizzy. The whole mixed chicks line is amazing!!!! It works wonders on her hair without harsh fragrances. Her hair has never looked healthier and I could not be happier.

Comment: 3 years ago I found this product by chance online earnestly looking for products that would tame, control, and condition my thick curly hair. After using many products like Pantene curls, john frieda, KMS curls, Redken, Loreal curls, Tresemme curls, and many other products I have to say mixed chicks is by far the best product out there for people of biracial decent or if you just have curly hair. If you haven't notice I am biracial one of my parent is black the other is mexican and let me just tell you that i suffered through many trials and tribulations. I can still remember the many times in my youth when my mother would yank the tangles that my curly frizzy hair would make. Boy those were the days but thank God they are now over. Using mixed chicks has really defined my curls, they are more bouncy, shiny, lively, and the back of my hair when it dries no longer scrunches. I now get constant compliments from people off the street both men and women who just love my curls. Although initially it took time to get used to mixed chicks, it was worth the effort.
Let me just say that while using this product it is very important that the amount of product you use determines how the hair will fall out. I know some reviewers stated that they followed the instructions in the video to a T and did not get the results they wanted. I too followed the instructions and did not get the results I wanted but thankfully I stuck though the product and started coming up with my own styling techniques and within two weeks I learned how much product was needed in order to tame my curls. For example, instead of air drying my hair once I have applied the leave in condition, I blow dry them on a low setting and wow within five minutes my hair is completely dry and the curls are absolutely amazing! This by far is the best curly hair product in the business! Thanks again mixed chicks!
