Summary: Excellent reference book 2009-06-30
Comment: I've been health conscious and wary of pharmaceuticals for years. A recent pet emergency opened my eyes to the fact that I had not applied that vigilance to my pet care. I came home with a bag of prescriptions. Upon further research, found some to be detrimental and others to be completely unnecessary. Thus began my search for answers and a better way of dealing with health issues. I found it all in this book. Healthy choices. Alternative medicine. Nutritious diet suggestions. It's all here. I love, love, love this book ! The order process was fast and efficient. Would do it all again.

Comment: It almost covers everything. I guess everybody who cares about his dog should get a book like this. It saves me a lot of worries and offers me many useful ways to take good care of my baby. The recipe about feeding easy digested food to your sick dog is very very helpful. Good book.

Comment: The book gives me excellent information in keeping my pets healthy.
I find the nutritional recipies easy to prepare and very beneficial for
my animals.
There is great information in all areas. The book is well written and

Summary: The one book to own on pet care 2009-04-24
Comment: If you could only have one book to guide you on animal care, this would be the one to choose. We've been using Dr. Pitcairn's guide since the early eighties, and recently upgraded to the latest edition. This book has saved lives on more than one occasion. Dr. Pitcairn's information on pet nutrition alone is well worth the cost of the book. Both of our children recently set up households of their own, with pets, of course; we are giving them both copies of Dr. Pitcairn's New Complete Guide to Natural Health for Dogs and Cats. We have to do so, so that our book isn't "on loan" when we need to consult it!
