Comment: Ok, there are seven seasons; at the price of $17.99 times 7 comes to $125.93. Why pay over $143 for the complete series set?

Summary: Packaged incorrectly... TWICE! 2008-11-19
Comment: I bought this and when I opened it, it has two copies of Season 2 and none of Season 1! I sent it back to Amazon, and to my surprised, it was the same thing-Two copies of Season 2, and None of Season 1. How can this pass QA??? I can only assume that at least two copies of this collection comes with two Season 1 and none of Season 2.
This is a great series and someday I'll own it. But that's not today since I'm sick of sending stuff back to Amazon.

Summary: Amazing series, awesome deal 2008-11-08
Comment: I had four of the seasons individually and grabbed this set when Amazon ran it in the Gold Box for $114.99. What an awesome deal! As soon as I got the set, I watched from it the pilot to the finale. I laughed, I cried, I loved and lost. I really enjoyed watching the characters and style of the show evolve. I do not always agree with the politics, but the mechanics of how it works is still amazing, even though "There are two things you never want to see made, laws and sausages."
As far as the set itself, I like that the discs are one-sided, some of the indidividual season sets I owned previously were two-sided discs. I also like that the discs are numbered 1-45 for the entire series and not 1-x by season, they make it very easy to keep them all straight. The packaging itself is very clever and the book of the pilot script with intro from Aaron Sorking is a great bonus for the fan. I highly recommend watching the Amazon daily deals for this set!

Summary: EXCELLENT - 6 stars! 2008-10-31
Comment: This is an excellent intelligent series about the interworkings of the White House. I bought it from amazon.com and there was absolutely no problem with the packaging. On the contrary the leather box is terrific. Each season is in a separate file folder and marked with tabs which makes it quite handy. Also included are two books - one summarizing each episode with lots of colored pictures and another with the pilot script. Very classy. The comment from R.C. Harris of Norway is NOT true. Ample space for each dvd and even pockets to hold them in. I don't know how he managed to scratch any. As far as there being no subtitles - I found it totally unnecessary and certainly no reason not to purchase this set. Suspect the comment from Norway is from someone where English is his second language as my sons and I have viewed the entire series multiple times and had no problem understanding what was being said. As far as his suggestion to buy from amazon.co.uk - you will get subtitles but unless you have a multiregional dvd player you won't be able to play them as they are Region 2 while the U.S. is Region 1. Definitely work the money for 154 episodes... about 108 hours!

Comment: There are few television series' that hold a standard of excellence like "The West Wing." I bought the entire set when Amazon finally had it on the Deal of the Day and I am excited to watch each show all over again.
