Bright, Brazilian, handwoven, soft, and intricately made: you can't find many things in life that afford so much goodness in one fell swoop--or, rather, sway. The Bossa Nova is yet another exquisite hammock in the Omni Brazilian collection. The 8-foot-long, 5-1/2-foot-wide cloth bed is plenty big enough for two to share in comfort. The 12-foot tough cords used for attachment and reinforced loop ends should hold up to years of reclining between the trees. All you'll need is some rope to tie the hammock up and, of course, two trees or posts.

The fabric is a sturdy weave, but soft enough to feel good against your skin for hours of summer relaxation. Unlike net hammocks, this one won't imprint a crisscross pattern on your skin after a long, lazy nap. This Brazilian design includes decorative crochet fringes hanging down from the sides, which add an inviting touch of style to the Bossa Nova's appearance. The price is right; the midafternoon floating is, well, dreamy.

Product Description
Originated in Ceara, the Northern State of Brazil. Woven from select quality fibers and decorated with the most complex crochet fringes. All of our hammocks are several grades higher than those commercially available in Brazil.

Summary: Terrific Quality! 2006-06-05
Comment: I bought the Bossa Nova for my wife over 7 years ago. We love it and it is still as comfortable as ever. We leave it outside on a 2nd story balcony and it still has held up(always in the shade). This is great as a wedding gift. Perfect for 2 people, maybe even 3? It is very nice to look at as well.

Summary: One negative point about the hammock 2002-07-06
Comment: I rated this hammock with four stars. Overall I really like my hammock. I like the feel of the hammock, the size of the hammock, and the nice crochet art work. I rated this hammock with four stars due to the fact it has no spreaders. I would like this hammock even more if it had spreaders.

Summary: HOW TO LIE IN YOUR HAMMOCK 2002-02-16
Comment: R.E. review in how to lie in your hammock.
The feeling of being engulfed in the hammock is actually an asset. The extra material in the hammock is to allow the user to stretch out comfortably. The traditional hammocks do not use a spreader bar to open the hammock up but rather use the object in it, namely you. A traditional hammock is meant to be lain in at a diagonal. This opens the hammock up considerably and flattens the curve of the hammock out. Try it. You have much more space and stability than a spreader bar hammock and he comfort is unsurpassed.

Summary: Great-looking! 2001-10-29
Comment: Looks aren't everything, though...this is a beautiful hammock, but a single person using it is just engulfed in it as it folds up with their body weight! No crossbars on the ends to keep the hammock open, which makes it difficult to use at best. We're novice hammock users, so don't know if there's a trick to this or not. If there is, we haven't yet figured it out.
