Summary: Life is so much simplier... 2008-05-16
Comment: I purchased this product recently and I have got to say it was a very smart purchase. I am now able to line trim my yard without a smelly, hard to start, carpal tunnel giving gas trimmer. Before I bought this set, I would trim around the house on my hands and knees with a little rechargeable B&D lawn shear instead of getting out my gas trimmer (which is only 2 years old). There is nothing mechanically wrong with the gas trimmer, it is just such a hassle for me to use. This B&D rechargeable line trimmer, hedge trimmer and blower set is just what I needed. I have an average size yard for the city of Columbus, OH. The line trimmer does not seem to lose any power in the 15-20 minutes it takes me to complete the trimming around the house & yard. The hedge trimmer was what really impressed me. My neighbor does not trim her hedges and allows them to hang over my side of the fence. These hedge trimmers took care of that problem in no time at all. I have told several people about these tools and many are interested in purchasing at least the line trimmer. My brother bought the line trimmer for my mom for Mother's Day. She loves it. If you are looking for a nice set of easy to use rechargeable lawn tools, look no farther. You have found them.

Comment: I love this set. It's an excelent set for lawn work. I have 0.5 acers yard. The trimmer battery last the whole time I trim my lawn. It is great that 3 battery are interchangeable.

Comment: Everything seems to work just fine. It's definitely not as powerful as a gas powered engine but for little small jobs (or for mom's), this is a perfect buy.
I have decent size yard and it used 2 batteries for the weed eater and a battery and a half for the blower.
The weedeater is a little difficult to get into tight spots... the guard is very large and the 12" cord is kind of small. The 3 battery charger is great and it works with my cordless drill so now I have 4 batteries - can't have enough batteries in life!

Comment: Received the Black and Decker 18 volt system very timely. Assembly and installation was a snap. Once the batteries were charged was using the equipment and found them to be light and powerfull. Very happy with the purchase. If you plan to buy any of The Black and Decker 18volt outdoor equipment start by by the 3 tool system. Will save you money in the long run.

Comment: Black & Decker 18-Volt Cordless Lawncare Center #CCC3000I was looking for a grass trimmer and saw these. I read the reviews and thought that I would try. WOW!!! They are a lot nicer than I expected. The trimmer is so easy to use and does a great job. Not having to bump out the line is one of the nicest features. It feeds itself. No more banging the thing on the ground. The blower is a lot more powerful than I thought it would be. It's still not going to blow stones around, but it really does a great job on my patio. I haven't used the hedge- trimmer yet, but I am sure that it will do a nice job too. Our yard is not real big, but I trimmed and also used the blower and still had power left in the battery. I am very glad that I bought this set and would buy it again. Like the comments say, it probably wouldn't be what you would want for a huge property, but for a normal lot it is just right. They are also not heavy and awkward. Very easy to handle and NO CORDS!!! I hope that this helps you if you are considering buying this item.
