Comment: I wish I had read the reviews of the b&d blower/vac before buying one. I used it for 5 minutes and sparks flew out of it. I used a 12 guage extension cord so the problem was with the machine. Buy the newest craftsman blower/vac-better quality. Cost the same as well.

Summary: Faulty switch drove me crazy! 2008-10-26
Comment: When it works, the BV4000 is worth the money. But I've owned 2 and both would stop for no reason. I had the switch fixed by B&D and that worked for about a season, then, again the switch problem. Hitting the switch with my hand would solve the problem for about 10 seconds and then it would stop again. The only permanent result was a sore hand. Shaking the unit just made it worse. Let's face it, the switch is poorly made. Buyer Beware!
