Product Description

NEW! Small plants with medium-sized deep brown fruits, rich flavor. Looks incredibly odd when blanched and peeled, revealing skeleton-like veins under the skin. Potato leaf, but determinate, 75 days from transplant. CERTIFIED ORGANIC

Customer Rating: 5 Star
Summary: Fast germination for me. 2008-09-20
Comment: These germinated very quickly for me and are growing great outside. Also gave 2 plants away to friends and they have taken off very well. (Started indoors then transplanted outside) A caterpilar had eaten almost the enire plant down to a couple of mangled stalks. It grew back quickly and is starting to produce fruits again. Wasn't able to save any tomatos from the first batch.

Summary: only ten seeds 2008-07-11
Comment: I only recieved 10 seeds for this one. I ordered 4 different vegetables, despite the crappy reviews. The seeds come in little clear plastic ziplock bags with no pictures. I bought these as a gift so I had to come back here to print the pictures myself. Kind of lame. I think I'll return the 10 seeds. If they are not even going to grow, at least give me all 20 for my $4.00.

Summary: lousy germination rate for Hirt's seeds 2008-03-31
Comment: My children and I ordered a selection of really fun seeds from you. (Hmong Red Cucumber
Black Sea Man Tomato, Rare Tigger Melon, Mexican Miniature Watermelon, Toga Striped Eggplant, Purple Cauliflower, Unwins Exhibiton 7 Pound Onion, Rare Red Bull Brussels Sprout)

My germination rate has been about 25% or less. All my other seeds from other companies are doing wonderful on my tables, but my Hirt's seeds are in a category of their own, small, stunted, wimpy, or not at all. I will not be ordering from you again, and I'm sorry I wasted my money.

Customer Rating: 4 Star
Summary: Quick to sprout 2008-02-28
Comment: I put these in those little growing pete pots. They sprouted within five days. Tomatos can be a pain when starting from seed.

Well these died with in days of sprouting despite my attentive care. I was looking forward to them so its too bad. It wont let me change teh star rating.

Customer Rating: 5 Star
Summary: Fast service 2008-01-19
Comment: I was amazed to see how FAST this product came to me, via first class mail. There were two little baggies of seeds and my daughters are looking forward to growing their own this year with me. We'll add customer pictures later this year, I hope! I can't wait for harvest time...Fr. S
