Summary: Solid but not exceptional. 2008-09-23
Comment: Before I purchased this grill I was looking for the Char-Broil Fire & Ice Grill (the one with the cooler below); however they have discontinued it for some weird reason. So I researched this one for my tailgate and decided to give it a try. I normally use charcoal however it is such a mess and the smoke blows over into others tailgates which is a little rude.
PROS: Great portable grill; love the side tables; 16 oz propane tank lasted hours (which is very nice); cute little extras like a flag and extra propane tank holder, a holder for paper towels and a holder for the propane tank in use; LED lights are a nice touch; very light considering how large this grill is; has a Non-Stick Teflon coated griddle (good for breakfast items); has a grease collector under the grill; has an ignitior, very easy to setup and start cooking
CONS: You have to assemble this grill out of the box (takes about an hour) and this was disappointing;
MOST DISAPPOINTING FEATURE...you cannot just extend the legs of the base and start grilling, you must take the grill off, extend the legs and set the grill on top of the base, this again applies if you want to collapse the grill, you must take the grill off the base collapse the legs and place the grill back on top; does not have a propane gauge letting you know how much gas is left; make sure it is on a level surface, we tried to make scrambled eggs and they ran off the griddle down to the bottom of the grill
Overall if you can catch this grill on sale it is worth the money (purchased mine for around $160 on Amazon). I still believe a $200 grill should have some extra features like a propane gauge, and the grill should be able to setup without taking it on and off the base.
***PS:Thermos sells a carrying bag for the Grill 2 Go; however it does NOT fit this model. You can fit the grill but not the legs. Returned the carrying bag to Amazon and had my $40 refunded.***

Summary: Nice concept, poor design and support 2008-06-21
Comment: This is my third season with the grill to go. And I must say that I am very dissatisfied. The first summer, the grill worked well with the exception of its ability to heat up to a high enough temperature; cooking times were long. I moved in the fall and upon getting it setup the following summer the I had a cracekd handle and the bottom of the grill had a large crack running from the handle to the base of the grill. Since I liked the concept of the grill, and presumably this cracked during my move, I spent the extra bucks replacing the base (about $50 plus effort). Again the unit performed as it did the first season. So here I am in the summer of 2008 and the gas regulator is shot, when I attach the tank he gas escapes from a pin hole valve. I am now faced with the decision to purchase a new regulator ($20) or start from scratch.
Given the flimsy quality of construction and low heat production I am seriously contemplating a new grill over another incremental investment in this dissatisfying product.

Summary: Unhappy 2008-05-03
Comment: This product is not worth 199.99. It's worth around 50.00. Way over priced. I've used it twice with no problems and the 3rd time the igniter only worked 1 burner and not the other. It's brand new and it's already giving me problems that I don't need. If I could through it out without my wife knowing I would and buy a more decent Coleman. BJ'S Wholesale has a portable Coleman gas grill for the same price that has a 20 lb tank included and a temp gauge and 26000 BTU's. And it folds up in a snap. Good luck trying to fold up the Griil 2 GO. A very bad investment.

Summary: Falling apart already - Very light weight piece of junk 2007-11-30
Comment: I bought this in April for $169 and took it on two camping trips. I see it is down to $99. Probably because it is junk and they need to get rid of them.
I've also used it to cook in the backyard. It does a fine job of cooking chicken and vegetables but don't expect to get any high heat for steaks etc. It just doesn't get hot enough.
My biggest issue is that the handles break and the parts fall off with only modest use. You have to order special parts to get the lid to stay on after the fasteners vibrate off and are lost forever.
Don't buy this unit if you are planning to use it for camping or tailgating. It is just too fragile.
