Summary: Cahr Broil Oil-less Turkey fryer 2008-08-17
Comment: I was amazed at the "fried" turkey from the oil-less fryer. The bird was tender on the inside and crispy on the outside. 10 pound bird done in less than an hour. The clean-up was easy. especially with no oil. I can't wait to try a pork or beef roast in it. Only drawback is the size - holds no larger than a 16 pound turkey. I have retired the oil fryer in favor of this one.

Summary: Well Pleased 2008-08-14
Comment: I've used a Turkey Fryer for the past four years and love it, but didn't care for the cleanup and the possibility of catching the oil on fire was a little scary. So when I saw the Char-Broil Big Easy Oil-Less Fryer,it caught my attention. I read a lot of reviews and the vast magority of them were very positive. So I bought one and we are totally pleased. The dry rub seasonings flavored the meat all the way to the bone. I also like the idea that I can fix other meats in it as well. The cleanup was minimum, plus the savings on the cost of the oil.

Summary: Couldn't be happier! 2008-07-30
Comment: First things first, with some common sense, the B.E. is pretty simple to put together. However, you WILL need common sense, b/c the instructions leave a lot to be desired.
More importantly, this thing cooks like a champ. So far I've done roasting chickens (using a "beer can" stand) that have come out as good, if not better, than any rotisserie chicken I've ever had, and buffalo chicken wings.
The biggest surprise is how well the B.E. does chicken wings! By rigging up some shelves in the basket, you can do about 3 dozen at a time. I've eaten Buffalo wings every way imaginable (deep fried, grilled, baked) and so far doing them in the Big Easy is my favorite. They were a huge hit at my last party.
I'd best describe the results of the big easy as 85% like frying, and 15% like grilling. I think for the convenience factor, that's a fine compromise vs. messing around with an actual vat of expensive, messy, boiling oil. Very happy.

Summary: The Big Easy Rocks ! 2008-07-14
Comment: Well I got this actually at Fry's Electronics for $[...] is the cheapest I could find and what a deal! Easy to setup took about 30 minutes, MUST season the inside by burning off any residue and then season the inside wall with oil. (This will give you a huge smoke plume)
I bought 3 sets of wire racks that fit on the inside of the basket. They are a semi circle that fill half of the side of the rack and has hooks to the outer ring of the basket. I bought them for $[...] each at this local Asian cooking store Kamei House and Restaurant supply. These racks work better then the 9 in. round Cake racks because they are easier to put in and out especially the bottom racks.
Once ready I tried chicken parts with a bit of spice rub and a light rub of oil out side. 40 minutes later I was eating Great Chicken. Skin was super crisp and thin perfect, meat was juicy like eating Costco chicken Fresh! This easily is the best Fried (no Oil) chicken I have had!.
If you check the Charbroil Big Easy Forum you will find pictures of lots of food that others have done with success! To me that just speak volumes about how good this product is.
Me I have 2 Charcoal domes one small gas grill and a Huge Smoker King and now the Big Easy. I do grill and smoke a lot so I can say that The Big Easy is a great addition to the family.

Comment: I have only used my big easy one time. The turkey turned out really good. I can see that with a little thought this can be a real cooking tool.
