Pressurized Filters Bioforce 500 for ponds up to 500 gallons; use Titan 550 pump (CY1451). Bioforce is a biological filter: The filters act as a mechanical strainer for debris and clumps of algae, removing these from the pond, but they also create a home for billions of beneficial natural bacteria which digest pollutant chemicals in the water as it passes over them. These biological filters contain media with a large surface area to provide a habitat for very high concentrations of beneficial bacteria. Bioforce is pressurized: after exiting the filter, the water can be run to the top of a waterfall if desired. Simple to install: the high inlet and outlet fittings allow the Bioforce to be buried up to its lid next to the pond, leaving only a relatively small portion exposed.
