The ElektraŽ UV pool water sanitizing system automatically does the work of killing bacteria and microorganisms in the pool water through Ultraviolet light technology, the same sanitizing technology employed by municipalities worldwide to sanitize drinking water. Powerful UV rays (like the rays of the sun), produced by a high output ultraviolet lamp inside the Elektra UVs wet chamber, kill microorganisms, bacteria, algae, and other harmful organisms as the water from your pool pump passes through the UV vessel and returns to your pool safe and sanitary. Chlorine and bromine use is reduced 70%-85%, resulting in a pool environment that is second to none in comfort and sanitation. The Delta Ultraviolet Elektra E series is the first UV sanitizer line designed specifically for swimming pool application. With its generous eight inch diameter 100% PVC wet chamber design, the Elektra E accommodates pools up to 89,000 gallons when 12 hour pool turnover is needed or up to 59500 gallons for semi-commercial application where 8 hour pool turnover is required.
